View Full Version : Hibees positivity thread prior to the St. Johnstone game

That's now five wins in a row since I started these positivity threads, so I'm hoping to make it six in a row away from home against St. Johnstone on Thursday.

It wasn't pretty against Kilmarnock on Sunday, but we found a way to win against a difficult opponent in challenging weather conditions. We must keep the positivity flowing towards our players as they step onto the pitch, which is a given as the away support has been excellent.

It's going to be a tough match, as St. Johnstone can be difficult to play against, although their recent record is poor. In their last six games, they have had five defeats and one draw against a broken Dons side compared to our five wins and a single defeat away to Champions Celtic.

I'm hopeful that we can maintain our recent better form and get another positive result that could see us move up to 5th in the league if both St. Mirren and Motherwell lose away from home to Kilmarnock and Hearts respectively.

Did you do one for the Celtc away game?

NB not trying to be funny/smart, just wondering how infallible your system is...

I hope the OP picks his/her moments and skips the Huns game.

I wouldn't want to lose the impact of these threads.

It's all about the power of positivity. I'm wondering if the OP is actually Chris Mueller.

I think the main issue is fatigue but that effects St Johnstone as well. Let's get right in about them. I\m not that bothered about the Huns, anything you get is a bonus, but I want us to be winning thse games and I believe we will.

No! No matter how much positivity, I couldn't see us get a positive result at Celtic Park so didn't start one. Albeit, you could argue it was a positive display.

However, started one in every game since then. That's five games and five wins.

One game at a time. Let's see how we get on against St. Johnstone first.

An away game against a team who haven’t won in 6 games.

We have won our last 3 away games.

We should be going into this confident.

Again it doesn’t matter how we play but 3 points is a must to get closer making top 6 and away from the bottom teams.

We have shown togetherness on and off the pitch and we need to keep using that support to best a tricky opponent.

Let’s do it Hibs - 5 in a row please.

fair play to Chris who was using ChatGTP well way ahead of the game to conjure up his daily pearls of apparent wisdom. Apparently books can write themselves…

Is the game in any danger of being called off?

It's always good to read a pre match positively thread as it takes me away from the more depressing and mischief making threads on the message board.

Must be a chance of Rudi and Myko being back as neither of them are mentioned as being out in the preview on the official site.

Yip pathead brilliant from our fans again but must make a full away end count by making as much noise as we can and get behind the team for 90 minutes + still so proud of our support throughout the season brilliant

Was reading we’ve played St J 60 times. 22 wins each with 16 draws. Pretty poor record

It's a great fixture for us.

Think we are a good price at around evens considering respective form. But don't listen to any of my tips.

The starting line-up up top will have a bearing on my confidence for this one - I didn't hear what happened to Elie last time out but hope he is in there.

It’s a great opportunity to follow up on a great December by putting points on the table as early as possible in January.

I've eaten and drunk too much for the last 10 days and I will still be there giving it my all..... and I am paying to do do that NOT being paid

It's looking like it will be a beautiful sunny day here in Perth.

Edinburgh visitors should detour via Broxden, Lamberkine Drive, Fittis Road and park on West Mains Drive.

We lost the first goal against Ross County and the Sheep. If we lose the first goal today, we will hold our nerve, roar the team on and will them to win.

Glory Glory! GGTTH

Imagine how massive a game this would be if we were still stuck at the bottom of the table.
As it stands we are looking much healthier with a few important players hopefully back soon.
Have a feeling there won't be much in it today.

Hoping for another positive display today from SDG and the players. The togetherness and drive shown by the players and resolve shown by SDG have created that positive atmosphere and it could take us a long way. The players are showing what they can do and we now look like we understand what is required to keep our winning positions. For all it wasn't that exciting and Killie had 10 men for teh last 30 minutes we saw that game out really well. Let's get the fifth win and move on to the Huns next

Sadly, the 100% run is over, but one could argue it was positive that we were able to fight back for an equaliser and maintain our unbeaten run that is one of the best in Scottish football at the moment.

Next up The Rangers.

You're still unbeaten, don't be too downbeat!
