In the top flight I mean... I know we did it a few times in the Championship...

I could be wrong but I think it was Feb/March 2011. Under Calderwood. Very nearly 14 long years ago.

Great opportunity to keep this run going against the league's bottom team.

Hibs 2 v 0 St Mirren
Hibs 2 v 1 Killie
St Mirren 0 v 1 Hibs
Hibs 2 v 0 ICT
Hamilton 1 v 2 Hibs

Not quite sure why we played St Mirren twice so close together.

You could argue this winning streak is one of our best for a while considering opposition and results away to Aberdeen and Hearts.

14 years is more than a while.

We won games under Calderwood??!!! Wow. I have nothing but unhappy memories of that entire period.

It was just after that terrible winter so maybe a rearranged game? Mind Calum booth scoring a beauty during that run

Im sure before that first St.Mirren game we hadn't scored a goal for ages. It either was or was close to a club record

The standout result was a 3-0 win at Ibrox. Wholly unexpected but it was a terrific, dominant performance. We never came close to matching that under Calderwood though.

What a turn around from a few weeks ago, well done David Gray and the team

It's certainly the best run of results over the festive season that I can recall.

Was too young to remember it but the 72/73 festive season must have been pretty special with the League Cup win in December and the 7-0 game coming soon afterwards.

* Just checked and including the cup final win and the 7-0 game we beat Ayr 8-1, drew 1-1 at Celtic and beat Aberdeen 3-2. That must have been a very merry Christmas and new year!

You're looking into a bag of sweets that is half empty, but you should be glad you can't see the bottom of the bag.

He wasn't our worst manager. Far from it. Just a complete and utter bell end

Yes it certainly was, we paraded the cups around on a wee tractor thing and Aly McCloud then manager of Ayr, and ex Hibs player soon to be Scotland manager said that the display by Hibs that day was the finest display of football he ever seen.
Great days and great team soon to be destroyed by a broken leg to John Brownlie and the GFA giving Alex Edwards a 8 week ban for next to nothing. Pretty sure that Gordon & O'Rourke got to 100 goals between them before new Year.

The team had scored 101 goals by Christmas that season, and the 7-0 was still to come the following week! Incredible times.

Dammit. And I was about to do another one on when we last won 6 in a row... (for the record it was 1969)

We’ve a bit of history for doing it when we’re deep in trouble. There’s the aforementioned Calderwood one, where we seemed to be on an inexorable decline towards relegation.

In 2002/03, Williamson’s only full season, we were rock bottom of the league after losing six of our first seven games. We won five in a row, and seven out of nine.

In both cases they were proper false dawns though. We need to keep this going.

This was my thought. When I read that we went 5 in a row under calderwood it immediately gave me the fear. If we managed it under him it was undoubtedly a fluke. Praying it’s not another one.
