We have been poor this season on occasions but last few have been excellent.

Today especially with them going down to 10, us struggling at centre half and they created zero chances.

Great win, well done hibs.

Mentioned it on another threat, game management and being street wise was brilliant today

They can start their reading with the August to early December 2025 chapters. By the time they get to the last couple of weeks they'll long be relegated 😂

It wasn’t pretty, but I felt quite confident during closing period that we would see the game out.

That wouldn’t have been the case a few games ago. The kind of result Aberdeen were grinding out during their flying start to season while not being brilliant.

I still think this is an area we need to improve. You wouldn’t think Kilmarnock had 10 men watching that last 15 mins. We should have made them work more and kept possession better.

Disagree, we spread out and took advantage of being a man up by making them run long distances to try and get the ball back. They were blowing out their ***** at the final whistle. This is a team that beat Hearts playing with 10 men for over 80 minutes.

They created nothing in those 15 minutes. Neither did we. But it looked like we were playing for the 3 points as opposed to taking any chances for the sake of a 2nd goal and it worked out exactly as planned. The players deserve credit for that, despite looking exhausted at that point.

I actually thought the game management was poor 2nd half.

Yes we got away with it and it was a great result under the circumstances but we made hard work of it when they went down to 10 men.

We just needed a bit of composure and should have kept possession better. I thought Kwon would have came on and settled the midfield but not convinced Kwon has played football before.

Still a great win all the same under poor weather conditions.

I’m not sure we made hard work of it at all. I didn’t think they particularly threatened at any point.

Nah, maybe the first 15 after they went down to 10 but the last 15 was well controlled by us.

I thought it was a pretty crap game to watch for long spells. I never really felt we looked like adding to our lead.

However I never felt we were in any danger of conceding either. After the red I think Killie spent about 30 seconds in our half. We looked comfortable (without looking at all fluent) seeing it out and that is a welcome change.

I never expected much today and the weather lowered those expectations further. It was as scrappy as I thought it would be but 3 points on a day when a lot of results went our way was all that mattered and we got them with relative little fuss. That'll do.

Corners for me! We again conceded lots of corners and I thought our defenders coped brilliantly as they did at Tiny. And we are a real threat when we get corners.

I honestly thought the second half was as bad as anything I have seen recently. Against ten men and we were incapable of doing the basics of finding space and finding a pass. How many aimless punts to no-one? Absolutely dreadful.

In contrast.... I thought we were decent in the first half - certainly better than in recent home games.

We seem to be better set up to play away from home - attacking on the break. At home we have very little creativity in midfield to break teams down - and what little we had disappeared with Newell's injury. Kwon doesn't bring much, does he?

On the plus side - the 96th and 97th minutes at Dingwall...!

Our possession was abysmal, we were playing against ten men and still managed to give the ball away on a regular basis, for a minute or two we held the ball well, passed it well and made space, then the rest of the time we just gave it away, fn infuriating. Cadden brothers had a great game though.

That’s not how I seen it , we have won 4 out of 5 games , and I can’t remember Kilmarnock having any chances whatsoever, should we go back to having no shape, bombing forward and drawing 1-1 or losing .

Mostly any other times we've seen us bottle that and draw or worse lose.

It wasn't pretty but with the schedule and having put so much into the last two away games I will take that result everyday. Killie never really offered much all game which was pleasing. So many times this season we've been guilty of losing goals cheaply and giving points up, but today we never really looked like letting them back in it.

Onto the next game and a chance to keep the run going.

I actually don’t understand that reply, we scored a goal , should have scored two.

How can ANY true hibs fan be unhappy about winning 4 from 5 , and the game we lost was against Celtic away , have a word.

I felt we were a bit unsure about whether to go for a second or hold on, which is understandable in the circumstances. A few silly passes forward that didn't need to be made but overall they never troubled us.

Not a game to remember but a really important one that should give us confidence now that we can close out games after some of the horror shows earlier in the season.

People are only saying they thought we were poor 2nd half against 10 men and could have been better.

It’s not a big deal and ultimately everyone’s delighted with the result.

I thought our game management towards half time on Boxing Day was poor and we obviously paid the price for that. I was impressed today that we put a foot on it as the first half was winding down. It was much more assured.

I don't think we did anything wrong in the second half. Even with ten men, Killie were going to press. Our defence is playing with confidence though and they plugged it.

Job done.

We won, l easily, we were under absolutely no pressure, they virtually didn’t have a chance the whole game, I was especially delighted with our defending at corners, we won every header.

The second half was awful and we seemed to just slow everything up and play to protect the lead. I must admit it was a horrible watch but the conditions were awful and we did manage to see it out, so it worked on this occasion. Well done for grinding out the win and maybe had the conditions been better we might have tried harder to kill the game off.

It’s exactly the sort of game we would have dropped points from earlier in the season. Didn’t play well (probably should’ve had another goal) but managed to grind it out.

There’s a definite togetherness there now that wasn’t there before the Aberdeen home game. Only at the halfway point but massive credit to Gray for seeing it through that rough start.

Not trying to have a fight, but I think people can be both ecstatic at winning and critical of the (second half) performance. As fans we want to see our team play well, and in the second half against ten men we were, frankly, honking. I'm still delighted we won though!

After the sending off killie seemed to have about half a minutes worth of combined possession in our half for the remaining half hour.

On a day when passes were blown here there and everywhere, our safety first defending and discipline were top notch.

People need to remember that this team upto a couple of weeks ago was bloody awful, but had turned the corner and started to play better and win.

We couldnt do that when playing bad before, but we've now found a bit of steel, a bit of grit and determination, a bit of team spirit where they all seem to be together for the cause.

We won AGAIN, how many times have we said that this season?

We are never winning every game we play, but a good trate is winning games when we dont play well, we've not done a lot of that in the past. :hibees

We did keep the ball well and played a lot of triangular passes in the middle but it was very noticeable that when Newell went off at HT, Kwong made us worse in the middle with far too many sloppy passes not being aware when on the ball. It just goes to show that we have little strength in depth and the midfield is still an area that needs addressed in January, still amazing we have all these midfielders on the books, JDH, NMW, Kenneh, Amos and Levitt and none are deemed good enough to either play or even be in the squad, with a poor loanee in Kwong being the preferred option.
