Sorry if it’s been covered already but why were we shooting into the Roseburn end first yesterday? Did we win the toss ? Even then though, I would have thought we’d have stuck to what we normally do and shoot towards our own fans second half.

Small detail but just wondered!

I thought the same. I'm not sure who won the toss, I'd assume them, as you'd think we would want to be shooting towards our fans second half.

I thought we might have chosen that to unsettle Hearts a wee bit.

Hibs never look right when we have to shoot 'down the slope' first half. Hearts will have their preferred ends as well and Hibs using a bit gamesmanship to disrupt that is fine by me (assuming it was us obviously).

We kicked off so I thought it must have been them who chose the ends

Someone on Keekback was moaning that the Heart's striker towing a bus changed ends at the toss and didn't go with the preferred halves (shooting towards the Gorgie end 2nd half)

100% was Shankland, watch the game back and you will see him signalling with his hand.

From a home game perspective against the OF or hearts I’m all for attacking the home end first half.
In a tight game situation it’s far better they don’t have 4k of their more rabid types willing them on in the second half at the end they are attacking. Like it or not our equivalent home end behind the goal is not quite as rabid in numerical terms.
Tradition or not why give them the advantage of attacking 4k of their loudest in the second half.

I presume the giant forehead knew they needed to get off to a good start so swapped ends. Mastermind that lad
