Thought his post match interview was fair and balanced, but he looked rabbit-in-headlights weak under the pressure; eyes darting everywhere, high, squeaky voice. It was a marked contrast to SDG's calm and steely focused determination under far greater adversity.
I can't see him being there next season, though I hope I'm wrong.
Might not be there next week unfortunately.

Agree. Couldn’t come up with even the usual soundbites for some of the answers. Probably regrets taking the job on now

Hearts are their own worse enemy. They sacked Neilson, who has them sitting 4th because he was not meeting their expectation level. They gave the job to the human egg, who carried on the work of the team he inherited. He had a slow start to this current season and was ousted.
Critchley is already under pressure and probably won't ever be forgiving by their support for losing yesterday. It just goes to show that if you sack a coach then you have to make sure the next one you bring in is better. Not sure about this guy they have brought up. Doesn’t appear he has much control over the players and it’s a concern for their fans.
Hibs on the other hand have stuck with Gray and have now well and truly turned the corner. Top six and possible European spot well within our ambitions now.

Sounded like Butcher.
Basically saying the players aren't good enough without actually saying it.
He was all over the place scrambling for words to try and make sentences. Absolute imposter, and never a football manager in a million years.
Hope he stays around for a while yet.

I think the likes of Mourinho and Wenger (I think?) are very much the exception, imo it must be difficult to have credibility when reading the riot act when he’s not been there and done it.
I think he seems like a decent enough guy and was fair in his assessment of the game, that won’t have gone down well as I don’t think he mentioned them being a big club once yesterday. I don’t think he’s got any sort of aura about him though, I couldn’t see him controlling and managing a difficult changing room.
I suspect he’s a very good coach, he must be to get to the level he’s at without playing, that’s different from being the main man that all the players are looking to though.

Their golf guy faxed a £ number to an agent, the agent opened his filofax of currently unemployed football managers, faxed him back Critchley's coupon, hey presto another first for the big team.

I'm wondering if we are overthinking all this space age technology stuff that Hearts are currently leading the sporting universe with.
Is it not possible that McKinlay & Budge just sat down one afternoon with 3 litres of Harvey's Bristol Cream in the golf club snug and decided that after the Naisy collapse, next time around they'd just appoint the first person that never looked like an angry Egg?

to be fair to him they really have some Dung players currently - in 40+ years I don't think I have seen a Hearts Squad with so few players better than what we have (or at least on current form).

It’s Critchley time,
There’s a need to be afraid,
At Critchley time,
We let in goals on Boxing Day,
And in our world of Critchley,
Liam Fox and McAvoy,
Throw your arms around Ann Budge,
At Critchley time,
But say a prayer,
A prayer for the creditors,
At Critchley time, it’s hard,
When the Hibees are having fun,
There’s a January transfer window,
With analytics we all fear,
And the only water flowing,
Is delightful Jambo tears,
And the Critchley boos ring out there,
As they yearn for Tony Bloom,
Well, tonight thank god we’re green,
Instead of maroon,
And there won’t be software updates now,
It’s Critchley time,
The greatest gift they’ll get this year is ninth, ooh
Where Shankland’s forehead grows,
Derby defeats come and go,
Do they know it’s Critchley time at all,
Room for two,
No windows to see out of,
Pray to god,
For return of Nieuwenhof,
Do they know it’s Critchley time at all,
Out of Europe,
Out of Europe,
Out of Europe,
Let them know it’s Critchley time again,

Ive never bought into the hype over Jamestown Analytics. To me, its just mental to think the answers to running a successful club lie in suggestions spewed out by crunching numbers. Yes, its been used by clubs that have had some success, but thats cos they know what they are doing. If youre a clueless mess clutching at straws for some silver bullet (hiya jambos!) then youre guna balls it up cos its the skills, experience and ability of your people that matter, no a spreadsheet.

He plays Montgomery ball. The longer he stays there the better.
LPerfectly suited to a team at the bottom of the SPL. Even better in the Championship.
Sadly I think he will not last long unless their form takes an unexpected turn. Remember that stopping playing in Europe was supposed to put this team back on the rails. Well so far that’s not happened. Pity, I was so looking forward to a resurgent Hearts. His biggest problem is really that whatever they do now they are still going to end up in a disappointing league position. He will pay for that. Budge will get stick and sack him

At Critchley time, it’s hard,
When the Hibees are having fun,
There’s a January transfer window,
With analytics we all fear,
And the only water flowing,
Is delightful Jambo tears,
And the Critchley boos ring out there,
As they yearn for Tony Bloom,
Well, tonight thank god we’re green,
Instead of maroon,
And there won’t be software updates now,
It’s Critchley time,
The greatest gift they’ll get this year is ninth, ooh
Where Shankland’s forehead grows,
Derby defeats come and go,
Do they know it’s Critchley time at all,
Room for two,
No windows to see out of,
Pray to god,
For return of Nieuwenhof,
Do they know it’s Critchley time at all,
Out of Europe,
Out of Europe,
Out of Europe,
Let them know it’s Critchley time again,
Out of Europe,
Let them know it’s Critchley time again,
Out of Europe,
Let them know it’s Critchley time again,
Out of Europe,
Let them know it’s Critchley time again,
Out of Europe,
Let them know it’s Critchley time again,
Out of Europe,
Let them know it’s Critchley time again…

I think the problem is, in their rush to publicise what they've got, how much it is worth and how big, unique and atmospheric it all is, the jumbos took their eye off the ball and still haven't realised that what they've actually got is an expensive out of date Teasmade.

Spot on! It's the modern day football curse of sports science and justification of data analysis. Long gone are the days of footballers training in public parks avoiding dug ***** and returning to their cars in muddy clothing.

I know lots of people including Hibs fans (myself inclusive) said the same about Gray just one month ago, but Critchley is simply not turning this around. Long may their current form continue.
2 sacked managers by New year would surely be pushing on being a record.

Can’t pretend I knew anything about him but I thought when they appointed him I’d have been very disappointed if he’d become our manager. Surely they’ll give him longer though after their Bloom tie up. 🙏

But say a prayer,

He was already struggling. Losing to us at home then throwing away a 2 goal lead when you're in the 97th minute will be the final nail unfortunately

I thought he was right about that rule and if a challenge that started outside the box continued into it then a penalty should be given ?

All the talk that was coming from that lot about the data used in his appointment to McKinlay stating it would have them challenging for the league even Dhanda after the Sevco game was full of confidence of hertz overtaking the Old Firm even though according to their fans he regularly does a disappearing act in games along with a few others makes you wonder if they are practicing some sort of black magic and all under some delusional spell . Magical , fantasy stuff going on down at tiny right enough.
