At full time in the derby Hibs had 4 Australian players( Boyle Iredale, Miller and Triantis) on the park.
Maybe there’s been a time when more than 4 non Scots from the same country outside the UK were in the team at once, but I can’t recall it.

Well technically 2, Iredale is from Greenock and Boyle is from Aberdeen.

Our neighbours across the city did have a tot of Lithuanian footballers. Not sure if they played four or more though.

Technically…FIFA recognise them as Australian…that’s the yardstick I thought appropriate to use, and obviate the need for any debate.
And incidentally, Martin Boyle may have lived in Aberdeen, but he certainly wasn’t born there.

I thought he was born there and went to school in Aberdeen?

Got to be a chance of there being 4 French players being on the park at same time. Particularly late 90s early 00s.

In 2009/10 we had at least 4 Irish players on the pitch together on occasion - Stack, Miller, Stokes, Byrne & Cregg.

Ulstermen Sproule, Morrow Dean Shiels and PC Murdock, although not sure they all played together in Mowbrays 3rd place side?

Although he grew up in Aberdeen, Boyle reveals he was born in Edinburgh and lived in Dunbar, situated 19 miles away from the club’s Training Centre, before moving north as a child.
He added: “I’ve still got a lot of family in Dunbar, so it’s great to be able to move here. My Dad’s job meant that we moved up to Aberdeen when I was very young.”

Agathe was gone by the time Libbra pitched up. Big Eck and his wonderful 3 month contract for Agathe!!

That’s correct. Just reading that Murdock got a law degree while still a fulltime player at Preston NE ! after retiring got a postgraduate degree, and has had a successful legal career and served on the national panel arbitrating on sports doping cases. Interesting guy who must have some great stories to tell.

Martin Boyle….and confirmed from his birth certificates by the Hibs supporting Australian Citizen who signed his application for an Australian passport several years ago.
It’s been covered on here a few times, yet the lazy media….instead of checking just follow the…’Aberdeen born’ nonsense of previous articles.
