It cannot be stated how important that goal has been.

Agreed. It signaled we had some fight and resilience and also carried a wee bit luck which we had been missing up until that point. We were never as bad as some were making out but when you are in a rut it is very hard to get out. Hopefully that applies to the pink neighbours. Even in games we lost, like St Mirren, the players were fighting to get back into it which gave me hope.

Agree with the OP, that looks like a massive turning point in our season but I wonder how much more important was the players’ reaction to the defeat at Dens that preceded the Aberdeen match.

That was as bad a night as I can remember watching Hibs, but it looked like it triggered a realisation in the players that they need to be the ones that do something about it.

The whole performance against Aberdeen was surprising (in a good way) and we’ve not looked back since.

Rocky’s goal gave us something to hold on to and be positive about, and probably stopped whatever the players had sorted out being wasted at the first attempt.

Yeah, they decided to play with 11 players for each match after that and have never looked back
