View Full Version : Tynecastle Allocation

It didn't escape my attention, whilst at Tynecastle today, that Hearts have cut our allocation even further.
If you see our support on the bottom tier (no laughing at the back) then it's clear that it's a lot less than our previous visits.
They're taking the piss now and it's about time we started making them aware that we'll be doing the same should it continue.

This 'agreement' between the two Edinburgh teams that the away side gets a stand in the derby...
It's a bit of a stretch to say we get a full stand there isn't it?

Indeed ..... The number of seats they cover up in the name of segregation is ridiculous, especially on the main stand side. Maybe it's time Hibs started to take seats away from the lower south nearest the east when they visit, instead of taking seats away from that corner of the east.

Bizarrely to reciprocate I think we block off the bottom corner of the East at ER. Need to get them telt - their allocation is far more than ours.

It's a piss take. No need.

Unless we've been penalised (in their eyes") for previous indiscretions inside their library.

Out of interest does anyone know how many tickets we gave the Huns? (The full fat variety)

It should be the same for them at ER but certainly isnt the case.

Between the smaller stand and the ever increasing segregation, we must receive around 1000 less tickets than we give them. Hibs need to broach the subject.

Why do they need segregation? The fans are in different stands.

Missiles being thrown at players taking corners? Must be alright at the other end in that case?

No need. Can see some self-imposed "boycotts" in the Yam future that will sort that out. They don't like it up 'em.

Indeed, nobody likes a boycott more than a Jambo who thinks they are going to lose a derby ... the 6 - 2 game being the classic example.

The De La Cruz game only had around 1000 Merricks. Funny how they boycott pumpings?

I assume this is a security measure as wee do exactly the same. I doubt it’s anything to do with them or us just being dicks. It’ll cost them a lot of money to do this.

We don’t do exactly the same though, that’s the point. We block off seats in the home end instead

We don't do it to the same extent. We take out some seats in our end. They only take out seats in the visitor end

Fair point. For some reason I thought we did. We should be doing the same in the next derby then

Even with the reduction at corner lower ends, it still sells out much faster than you would reasonably expect for such an allocation.
It would be interesting to know exactly how many tickets are put on sale. How high are the staff and players comps for example? Sponsors?
What is left for the scramble might struggle to break into four figures.

I noticed that they had a sponsor on the tarpaulin or whatever it was covering the seats. That would cover the loss of ticket sales.
We should do the same if we are going to continue cutting the old firms allocation.
Now just to find an appropriate sponsor.

Thought the same. How many are actually going on sale to ST holders

Hibs first will get their tickets too. No surprise it sells out so quickly IMO.

It sticks in the throat a wee bit that comps are in there. Surely the main stand is safe for players family's etc

Only the fact that we are 2 of the 900 but can't get a tynie ticket nowadays. Don't see the relevance though.
