What spirit , character and togetherness there is in this Hibs team now , something I haven’t seen for quite some time … David Gray and his staff deserve a huge amount of credit ..

I think it has been there for a while. Even though St Mirren beat us at ER the last 10 minutes showed a real desire to get back in the game. The catalyst that day was Cads 2 and I think he has been the biggest factor in our form turning. Always plays on the front foot and the formation change at that time combined to make us a decent side. Much better at the back and can play some good stuff too.
As you say SDG after getting pelters deserves every bit of credit for teh way we have turned things around

I was ranting in the pub a month ago about how I don’t like any of these players.
WOW! We suddenly have a team, and I can list off my favs.

We're a fickle bunch, amazing what winning does.

Going behind at Pittodrie. Won.
Lose an equaliser in first half stoppage time in away derby. Won.
The character is very apparent.

True - but it’s a long time since we’ve seen this “all for one” spirit being so apparent.
I love watching it.

It’s something that can add so much to a team and club.
I still think we can improve certain areas of the club but right now the players are giving everything and the fans are responding.
I was quietly confident about today as I know these players look like they enjoy playing for the club now and we have a few very likeable characters delivering.
Long may it continue.

No one could say today that those players don’t care and aren’t playing for David Gray.
We are very much a team.

I really liked the celebrating together after blocks etc, however I must admit there was a “you’ve not won the game yet” feeling a couple of times, think it was when Obita got a goal kick and about 4 went over to him and they were cheering and smiling
Turns out we pretty much had, but still 🤣

I said it at the game but Iredale looked like he would have died for Hibs today. Same goes for both Caddens and Campbell played like a fan which is what he is. Someone like Obita who is a bit out of favour came off the bench and was celebrating tackles and throw ins like goals. Even unused subs like Bursik and Hoilett were right in the thick of the celebrations.
It was the big argument I made for sticking with Gray. The players never stopped playing for him and that was evident again today.

Went behind against Ross County as well so that’s 3 games in a row. Media and pundits couldn’t wait to put the boot into us when we were losing late goals, I bet they aren’t quite as quick to give us the credit we deserve!

It's the story of fitba ..... If the players look like they are up for it and get results the fans will love them for it and the more the fans relate to the players the more they'll give.
The very epitome of that today was Iredale, just got stuck into everything and gave the battling performance fans love, especially in a derby ... there were a few not far behind him, long may it continue :aok:

That was what stood out during the first round of fixtures. We were poor, but it didn't ever look like the team weren't together or playing for the manage r
Nicky Cadden said post match that even during that period the players knew we were a decent side.
Hopefully it's all beginning to click for SDG now

I do believe we have tried to recruit the right players recently in terms of attitude and physicality. We need more but I think we are seeing signs that we are trying to get the right type of players for this league.

Loved Obita near the end busting a gut to get In front of his man to shield it out to which he gets a couple of high fives then roars out to the support.
This is a player who has been on the bench in recent weeks and still showing the passion.

Thought I would bring this thread back as it’s evident right now that the players / fans and manager are all in this together.
Great team spirit and even with a depleted squad etc we are winning games.
Obviously many still need convinced about the board and recruitment but maybe we have seriously turned a corner and are all finally pulling in same direction.
I still think though recruitment is key before window shuts though if the board / recruitment team want to get proper credit.

Spoke about this on the bus home. All really working hard fir each other and backing each other up. At our penalty, Triantis went right over to protect the spot as that big hammer thrower with the headband made a beeline for it. Pushed him away and then someone else came to help. NMW was having a go with their No8 and again was quickly backed up by team mates. Good to see

The only way we’ve managed to turn a corner is through togetherness. As we’ve seen before, when times are tough, the fans are on your back etc it’s easy to fall apart and start turning on each other but fair play SDG seems to have held everyone together and there’s been a real strong mentality.
We have to keep going though. Tough times will come again, bad results will come again but it’s how we deal with them and bounce back.

Pundits gotta keep punditing. they are gagging on us to trip up and despite it all some still questioned the character - Craigan was at it at points today. biscuits questioning Boyles professionalism (funny how the last 6 months of a contract sees players turn it on overlooking his injury).
Long may they be bamboozled by this team.
Bleep them and all their muppetry.

True for the players as well. Because anyone who thought this type of run, with the team showing this type of character, was possible after that game at Dundee is kidding themselves. But the away win against them was what really gave us some belief IMO.
Earlier in the season we’d fold at the first sign of pressure. Now, it seems to galvanise us. The late goal at home to Aberdeen changed things massively.

I think SDG deserves great credit for the way the squad has been created. There definitely appears to be a togetherness and it has been a while since we have seen that. It is very obvious now our form is good but I think it has been there all season.
