One of the things we lacked earlier in the season was the sort of spirit that Rocky brings.

Some abysmal comments about him on the match thread after his mistake, folk desperate to put the boot in but he didn't let his mistake get the better of them and had a smashing game.

The fans singing his name at the end meant the absolute world to him and you could really see it. Love the big man.

The OG was one of those things. He saw it late and it went anywhere as a result. Not a mistake or negligence at all. He was immense and we're lucky to have him on this form. Absolute beast.

I might sound like a fanny saying this but I don't massively blame him for the own goal. I think he's reacted late and got it wrong. It's a nightmare moment but I'm not letting it cloud what has been a very impressive period for him since he's came back in.

Nah mate, don't sound like a fanny at all. He's been in a position to clear it and it's went wrong. It happens. He's done well this season imo.

I totally agree with this. I think he was putting his leg out to get where the ball should have been, but it took the tiniest of deflections before it got to him and that meant it went in and was an OG. I don't think it was bad at all, just 'one of those things'.

I go back to his lowest point, when Shankland got past him and scored after he missed his header in that derby nightmare. Its often forgotten that he dominated LS throughout the game, just one mistake at a bad moment that was ruthlessly punished. He was playing well at the time, then had a form slump and then lost his place and i think mostly written off by folk that either werent watching every week or didnt want to be proved wrong.

On a booking which was never a booking and on the back of that mistake I was worried about him second half. He was absolutely ****ing brilliant though. Will to win is second to none.

Anyone that knows football saw that own goal as a horror show of badluck and nothing more. The big man stuck with it and saw out a magnificent game. I’ve been a fair sceptic these last couple of years but have nothing but praise for Rocky tonight and my to be honest, my scepticism only fuels the praise I carry for him tonight. He was outstanding. Done everything asked of him which was far from easy, even for the best of players in such a highly intense game. Well played Rocky boy. Thank you.

I think he was unlucky with the booking and the OG but like the warrior he is he carried on in what was a very good performance. Looking back on it , I don’t think our keeper was put under any wild pressure or had to pull out any really good saves which is credit not only to Rocky but our defence too .

Really liked the fact after the og there was no drama from him. He just accepted it had happened and looked to keep focused on the task at hand.

Great we're beginning to see the Rocky many suspected he could be, all it needed was a bit of belief and a run in the team in a formation that plays to his (and others) strengths.
