There’s been a lot of talk that the good performance against Celtic was meaningless because it didnt result in 3 points.

With that in mind, I hope that same rationale applies when we process getting 3 points today after a below-par performance, particularly that terrible first half.

We won. We’re 8th, Hearts are bottom. Enjoy your evening Hibees everywhere.

Maybe BBC Heartsound will explain

Think most folk are calling it as they see it.

We were crap in the first half but delighted to come away with the 3 points.

Points are infinitely more important than performances.

I'd take another dozen games like that 1st half if we walked away with 3 points in all of them over plaudits for performance with nothing to show for it.

Let’s at least wait till 22 games when everyone has played each other and away before we can do any pointing fingers and laughing.

Hearts have a game in and on us then 3 home games out of 4 with the away game being Ross County. We have 3 away games in 4. Performances like the first half today against poor opposition and we’ll quickly find ourselves bottom again.

Three points, Goal for your striker from Gayle, goal and assist from Youan and a sub coming on and securing three points.

Abysmal first half but we kept fighting and came away with a win. Surely everyone would have taken that before the game today?

Yeah we will. That’s football. We’ve lost a lot of games we really shouldn’t have. We will win some when we don’t play well.

Think it might suit us to play away from home. Less pressure maybe.

As a golfer, I liken that performance today to one where you knock one of bounds at the first, follow it up with a run of bogeys, yet dig in to stop the rot and scramble your way to a buffer. Those rounds are often more satisfying than when you’ve played well throughout.

Not at our best but at times gave evidence of what we can do, and rather than throw in the towel we dug a result out and earned a big three points.

Target was 3 points, not a lot else matters when your teams on the bottom.

We won, we are in a relegation fight. Who, as a Hibernian supporter gives the slightest at this stage how that happened wants to dissect to me is bizarre!

The boos were imminent for half time and a few still rang out.

Gayles goal was delightful finish
