I was there, still got my "lucky" scarf, hat and rosette from the day.

Thinking about sending them back as not convinced I was told the truth about the lucky bit since then.

Brilliant performance in the rain from Patrick Gordon Stanton

Captain Fantastic

Jock Stein stood and shook every Hibs player by the hand at full time

Great memory

I watched extended highlights on YouTube the other day. Great memories, little did we know what was to come 23 days later.

Was also there, big crowd too if my memory is still good. No segregation of fans either, saw plenty Celtic fans congratulating the Hibs supporters on the way out. Changed days.

Brilliant display. When I saw Stein was kicking off with Johnstone on the left-obviously to try and tie Brownlie up- I realised that they were afraid of us and that we were going to win. Could have really battered them but being in total control made it very comfortable.Brownlie of course steamrolled past Johnstone until he was moved-can’t remember where as he was never in the game.

Great hearing about your memories from the year of my birth.

That passage of time must rank as one of the very greatest in our history.

Missed it because I was representing the school in the Penalty Prize Competition at bloody Tynecastle, hearts v Kilmarnock bore fest. 😖. Was pelted with coins because I wore my Hibs strip.

On the way home in the snow got the cup final score in PT’s window and was at least outside the North British Hotel for the victory parade.

I missed the 2016 cup final as I was on a cruise in Alaska.

I am the jinx I tell ya!!!!

The only slight sadness attached to the memory of that excellent day is that it's very hard to see now how Hibs could ever be that good again. That season we could have beaten anybody, and shortly after beating the Glasgow giants did in fact trounce one of the biggest teams in the world.

He's here!

Great poster. Is that one of the ones which was reproduced for charity?

The two guys top left? Looks like Tommy Younger on the right. Guessing Tom Hart for the other but it's not how I recall him.

One of my favourite Hibs memories, and the 1st time I'd seen us lift a national trophy after so many Hampden disappointments. Have vivid memories of the scenes of celebration outside the North British, with the players out on the balcony, and wee Jimmy O'Rourke standing on the edge holding the cup aloft. Wonderful stuff.

Was there as a teenager Hreat atmosphere behind the goal but can’t say I remember much about the game struggled to see stuck in the crowd But remember going back on the train to wait fir the team to arrive at the hotel at the top of the steps at Waverley station and the players out on the balcony Thought this would be a regular occurrence lol

I wasnae there!

Was playing in an East of Scotland cup game at St Marks Park , and had to chose.

Grudgingly, agreed to play…….scored a hatrick even.

Got the result at the top ofEaster road where they used to sell the Pink News!

I was on the roof of Tommy Youngers and got my own cup wave from Pat. I’d have been 6.

Now that is the colour our strip should be. :top marks

Dont really remember much about the game other than the goals and the cup presentation. I vaguely remember being worried they would get an equalizer.

We were in the main stand not far from the presentation.

I was lucky enough to track down this photo much later-time and beer plays tricks with the memory but it's pretty close to what I recall of the pandemonium outside the hotel, Waverley and everywhere else in the area that night.

Yes, it was reproduced when I cycled from Edinburgh Castle to the Rock of Gibraltar back in 2017 for Edinburgh Marie Curie Hospice...

I still have a few kicking around if anyone is interested - £15.00 + pp - All monies would go to the hospice.

I’ve still got some shards of glass from the Hawkhill bus window that got smashed on the way back. I was 14 and it was a great day for a teenager to experience.

Wilson Humphreys and Tam McNiven are the two non Hibs players (aside from Eddie Turnbull). Tam McNiven was a physio who served Hibs and Scotland well for years, Wilson Humphreys was a coach for a good few years.

Unfortunately, I don't have any signed posters left but I have a few unsigned kicking around.

I do have some signed pink news poster(s) signed by the magician Alex Cropley left - £25 + p&p (Not Framed) Again, all monies to Marie Curie, Edinburgh.
