Whether we played ok or not it doesn’t change the fact that Gray is out of his depth in the job. His substitutions continue to be head scratching. I’m hoping that we win next Saturday but if we don’t he should be sacked. At least that would give a new manager time before the January transfer window.

Have to admit this continues to be a worry for me.

Indeed.

Staggering why there are some positive posts given our situation.

The only positive I can see is not that we are any better. It's that there are one or two others who hopefully will end up worse than us.

You’ve got to hope the new recruitment boy has got some aces up his sleeve in January. Our team is choc-full of loan players in the key positions and that dearth of quality really shows.

I’m not caring if it’s Celtic at Parkhead or not, a Hibs team should never be writing off games.

Ross County our “biggest” game of the season. Dearie me.

Simply have to take your chances against teams like Celtic

Every player has to not be a huddy in front of goal

It was just lazy and stupid to get caught on the ball there.

Other than that I agree, thought he had a decent enough game, same with the majority of the team.

If you're talking about Triantis, he seemed to have left Engels free to score the first too.

11 - 9 shots on target

As i've said numerous times on here. These stats don't mean anything. We lost today because we weren't ruthless enough in the face of goal and Celtic were ruthless enough. That's why we lost 3-0. It wasn't some mysterious force working against us.

So, 7 points off top six with 17 games to go!

In all honesty it really is embarrassing and unacceptable to be bottom of the league after 16 games. Need to turn it around starting with next weekend at home to County.

Triantis doesn’t annoy me losing the ball there when we’re losing 2-0

It’s not following his man at 0-0

The same way he never followed his man against Dundee

Difficult, when we have a team full of huddies.

Win next week and we could jump to 8th. We were never likely to get anything today. Big result needed next week

It would annoy me a player losing the ball there if we were losing 42-0. It's just poor decision making and lazy.

bbc saying we were, as follows- Celtic overcame a wasteful Hibernian side at Parkhead to move nine points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

I disagree about it being lazy.

Poor decision making? 100%

A player not completely familiar with the role/position as he’s originally a centre half? Yes, imo.

There have been a fair few saying it for the last three months.

You may wish to refer to the previous 'next 5 games' or 'must win' threads.

Saw enough today to reaffirm we are NOT as bad as our league position shows. There are poorer teams in this league than us, I think we will climb away from 12th quite comfortably over the next 2 months.

Can’t say I’m too fussed about today which is just the unfortunate nature of Scottish football. Celtic have lost 1 game at Parkhead this calendar year and it was to Borussia Dortmund. Infact they have also only lost 1 away game this year by the looks of things. Even the rangers have to go back over 4 years to their last win at Parkhead.

It sounds like we gave a decent account of ourselves and it’s the sad reality that was always likely to be as much as we could ask for.

Next week is the game that matters now.

Total lack of quality both ends of the park.

Good to create as many chances there but no bad luck about how it went. Just not good enough.

Sorry but thats nonsense. He let his man run away from him to score just 2 weeks ago against dundee. I mean he actually watched his man walk away and score! Now hes lost his man again. It's basic stuff we are talking about. What's his excuse for ending up facing the wrong way and heading the ball in to his own net? Surely as a cb he should be familiar with heading the ball away from goal? He has been an absolute disaster since returning. His debut aside, I don't know if he's had a decent game.

It doesn't matter how poor we may think other teams are compared to us. If they continue to find ways of picking up more points than we do, then we won't be climbing anywhere. There's no rewards or prizes for good performances, only the points matter.

Agree 100%. Just prior to the goal, Triantis looked over his shoulder, saw his runner but did nothing to bust a gut to get back in a defensive position. Terrible at 2 goals today.

He’s a centre half playing in midfield just don’t see it with him I would send him back to Sunderland.

And……,
We’re rock bottom of the league again
Think everyone know how Ross County goes next week
Good first half.. miss chances
Go 1-0 up
They equalise on 75
Then winner on 92

I'll bet you anything you want that doesn't happen.

Totally, said as much a few days ago. The league out with Celtic seems to be full of pish right now, but given we've accumulated 12 points from 16 games seven points will take us an age to get.

I do honestly think we look a better team the past few weeks. Though if we don't win at home to County next week then it really is a worry.

It’s an incredibly dangerous game the board are playing.

Things look like they’re improving but realistically we are also only a couple of poor results away from being really isolated at the bottom.

To be so far behind teams like Motherwell, St Mirren, Dundee etc is an absolute disgrace at this stage.

Lose to County and it's curtains, surely?

Gives any new manager a few weeks to suss out the squad I'd be worried if it takes longer than a training session with some, then get some decent players in the Jan window.

Because he made such a bad start, even if we start pushing up the table, Gray is always going to be a loss or two away from being punted. He badly needs an unbeaten run for fans to have confidence in him. We need an unbeaten run NOW. Still hope it works out for him.

Well said. The problem is even now Gray have sort of cut his nose of here even if he goes on a run however if we manager to get away from the bottom 2 and get into 8th or so it will be deemed as fine for the board. Although personally if someone gave me 8th right now I would bite your hand off.

Certainly wasn’t unlucky if you miss those chances and defend so poorly
