It was scored by Neil Martin in March 1965.
Think it was just after Jock Stein left us and we were challenging for the league but stand to be corrected on those points.
It was since Hearts last won the League Cup though.
Can't even remember anyone scoring a double since then.

It was after Stein left us. Allegedly Neil Martin after scoring ran straight over to Stein and gave him the GIRUY sign

👍
Neil Martin also reckoned that if Jock Stein hadn’t left when he did we would have won the League and the Cup that season
Scored his hat-trick in the first half in a 4-2 win the other scorer was Hearts’ top scorer own goal

Neil Martin also had a perfectly good goal chalked off that night as well.
Joe Harper scored a double at Parkhead the the ref abandoned the game with 3 minutes to play.

The fog cleared 5 minutes later
Any excuse to help Celtic the replay was 1-1 IIRC

Guess who was the ref that day R H Davidson. Backed up by his boss Jack Mowatt. We started a game at Easter Road against Motherwell in thicker fog which got worse after ten minutes and the game was abandoned. The fog cleared at the game at parkhead not long after what would have been the end of the game. Of course the Celtic fans invaded the pitch 10 mins before the end of the game just to put further pressure on the ref. They invaded pitches when they were getting beat in those days

Ha Ha just read a report that said with 10 minutes to go the Celtic fans employed their usual tactic of invading the pitch to try and get the game abandoned
Who knew ?

My recollection was Harper and Blackley
And was the last ever hat trick against Celtic benny Brazil. Albeit in a friendly when ours was the only playable pitch.

So was my ex colleague Stuart Rennie, in goals for Well that evening and unaware the game had been abandoned. Was on the pitch for about 20 mins after the game was stopped. What pixxed him off was his team mates bever noticed he wasn't there in the dressing room....

My first time watching Hibs at Parkhead. I was a 12 year old wee laddie and my parents never knew that I went till years after. Gutted I was on the way home travelling on to the Willie Muir pub supporters bus.

As you will know Billy, they did the same at Hampden in 1972, with Hibs 3-0 up. They pulled it back to 3-3 in the remaining time, as the disruption affected Hibs rhythm.
As this was just 3 months after the 1-6 final, we expected the worst as the final entered extra time.
Hibs showed the guts they demonstrated for much of that season and ran out 5-3 winners.

That was some game and have to admit I thought we would fold after the hordes invaded the pitch as they did back then, still A-Holes, but we had super sub Jimmy O and Nijinsky still full of running and fight, great Hibs team and a very good tic team at the time as well.

When Eddie Turnbull scored 4 at Parkhead 3 were penalties plus (I think)another one missed.
Nowadays they don’t have 3 awarded against them in a season.

Although it was even before my time I’d always thought it was Parkhead which had seemed unlikely.Has anyone else scored a hat trick of penalties at E.R. do you think?

No
There have been a few penalty hat-tricks recently but none at the Holy Ground since or before Ned that I can see
Would you believe Rangers had four penalties awarded against St Mirren at Ibrox 2019 scoring three and missing one in a 4-2 win ?
