It’s a major design flaw when you build a big stand but have the pitch of the upper tier at such a shallow angle that the goal in front of you is obscured.

This was our view, standing up, which obscured the goal completely with Block Seven deciding they were standing right down the front without much consideration for those behind them.

At least with plenty free seats elsewhere we were able to move along, but even when clear of Block Seven you could only see half the goal and the bye line wasn’t in view at all.

The upper tier seats from behind first couple of rows should be charged at restricted view prices. It’s the very definition of restricted view.

We were to your right hand side and it wasn’t much better tbh

It’s probably been designed on the premise of everyone being sat down but I can’t imagine that happens often these days (weirdly when you watch old footage immediately after grounds went all seater, people only stand up at a goal rather than persistently during the game)

Aside from the megaphone, balaclavas and general misbehaviour, I think my biggest gripe with the ultras groups are this obsession of being the furthest forward rather than the old guys of being up the back of the stand where it sounds so much louder

Thought B7 where quality the day, plenty noise and good selection of songs older and newer.
Why did u you pick tickets in that section ? That was the dedicated singin section for the ultras and anyone else that wanted help create a bit atmosphere.

OP makes a good point. No sure I've ever seen a Hibs goal actually go in at that end when I've been upstairs! Seen Motherwell goals though. The obvious solution is that we should all sit down all game.

Sorted. Biff, bash bosh.

Said it on the match day thread it's ***** holes like Fir Park that make you realise what we have in ER. We were at the other end of the stand row GG and you struggled to see the goals, seated or standing.

Enlighten me. Where else were they meant to get a seat.
Where B7 were seated was that their allocated seats or did they just take it upon themselves to sit/stand there.

It was their allocated seats. I wonder if they were chanting “Kensell, Kensell GTF” when they were in collecting their specially requested seats for the best view in the house in their preferred location down the front of the upper tier?

The last fans that should be taking swipes at personell on the board given the way the club continues to bend over backwards for them.

Fortunately the option was there to move but what would have happened if we had sold out and fans who wanted to watch the game were restricted in doing so by those standing down the front?

Even when all sat in seats, the view of goal and bye line is obscured from the first few rows - a group standing at the front obscures that completely for anyone behind. They shouldn't be charging full price for 80% of that upper tier.

I bought seats that weren’t in the singing section and B7 still occupied those. Feels like they get all the favours and cooperation in the world, but still want to go against it to just be ‘edgy’

Similar area to you absolute joke not helped by the selfish ones and their flag. To be fair they did create a decent atmosphere.

From what I heard at the game, the reason we were in the upper was because of Block 7’s behaviour in the lower, last few games
They should put them in the other side of the lower, away from the Motherwell ultras

Good idea. Alternatively they could put them in with the Motherwell ‘ultras’ so they can all bang their wee drums and take photos of themselves all dressed in black and wearing balaclavas.

Maybe Hibs should put all away fans in upper corner and see how they like it.

Feel we often get crap view and seats..

Aberdeen
Motherwell
Celtic
Huns
Occasionally Dundee Utd
Ross county
Killie

Hearts
St J
St Mirren
Dundee

Seem to be a better view..

Eh, anyone of the 4 other blocks that had **** loads of available seats to choose from on the seat map.

He's here!

From memory it's fine. But standing seems to be compulsory these days.

We'd be as well re-installing terracing.

Totally agree with this, and at the opposite end, we had to ask the stewards to move the folk who were standing in front of the exits, as we couldn't see the goal.

The design is bad enough but even worse when you have some selfish B's obstructing your view.

OK if you're in the front few rows, not so great further back.

No idea if it’s accurate or not but someone, on the match thread yesterday, suggested the reason Hibs supporters were stuck on the upper deck was because B7 people were throwing missiles on to the park, from the lower deck, last time out. If true it would make sense but would demonstrate that the behaviour of a noisy few can have an adverse effect for all. It would also be ironic that the Block 7 group took/were allocated the best seats in a bad area of the ground.

That’s not true as Motherwell have put all away fans in the upper first this season. Including the likes of Edinburgh City in the league cup. I read that it’s because they save money on stewarding costs by using the upper

Won’t make much difference as they stand where they want anyway.

If we were allocated the top tier as a consequence of previous behaviour by Block Seven and to the detriment of the normal fans, then you have to ask why Hibs are accommodating the group for this fixture by sorting out tickets for them in the area of their choosing?
And they still have the brass neck to abuse the CEO and board?

Should have been told that their allocation wouldn’t be put aside for them for this game and if they wanted to go, then they’d have to sort their own tickets out like everyone else has to.
