Mate of mine described his free kick as 'World Class'. Thought it was a belter myself. He contributed massively tonight. His energy and industry is obvious, and has the attributes to become a fan favourite.

I thought he was good going forward but defensively 2 of the 3 goals came down his side. Admittedly not solely on him but he never looked close to getting to grips with the sub they brought on (who looked a player btw).

Pleasantly surprised by him.

Not good defensively but he can offer plenty going the other way. I’ve given up bothering about what players can’t do. We just need to find a way of playing that lets us get the good bits. I thought the way we set up tonight did that for most of them and hope we stick with it.

Nicky played well and in general has when on the pitch for me. But where he's playing is Hoiletts best position and when Junior isn't playing there he's nowhere near as good.

It should be to drop o'hora when marv is back, he isn't as good as rocky imo, I'd be keeping hoilett through the middle, he is a good player but for me he isn't quick enough to play out wide

Fully agree about O’Hora. I just don't think Hoilett plays well at all when through the middle though. Even last night his best play was when he drifted out left.

It's been a while. I'd also add that we may have had good free kick takers in recent years, but not many would ping it top corner in the 92nd minute when losing 2-1. I honestly can't recall the last player that I had confidence that he'd score from a free kick in such a position.

We should try and work something to free up his wage in Jan. Just isn't the player of old, which is understandable given the injuries.

Fallen back into the bad habits and always taking the wrong option. So reluctant to pass the ball.

Nicky and Youan for the foreseeable for me.

Well we started with a back 3 and Cadden in a wing back role. So that would not be a position for Hoilett.

I think the approach last night helps get both of them in the team, so I'd stick with that. It gives us a much greater balance IMO.

I think that would be harsh on Iredale, he’s not been perfect, but he’s not had a run in the team. Obita has, and while he’s decent going forward, his defending is poor. I’d give Iredale the shirt right now.

I've been impressed with Iredale so wouldn't be looking to swap him out. His distribution from the back is by far the best of the other centre backs Good forward passes that break the lines. Seems a very determined defender aswell. Got done by the Aberdeen winger for one of their goals but that boy is a flying machine and goes past most so not holding that against him
