Do you have a buyer in mind, it would appear that at the moment, we woudnt be a great investment, especially as BK have just payed £6 M for 25 percent.
STF took something like 15 years, trying to find a willing buyer .

Yep, that's the problem with the 'Just sell-up and go' posts... it's a lot easier said than done.

If I had tens of millions in the bank, I'd happily buy them out, but sadly....

I think you need £24 M , that should do it, as long as you don’t own any other clubs.
I take it, that’s a given.

By law of probability there has to be a few wealthy Hibs fans out there. Of course parting with the best part of £24 million for 75% of the club is rather steep.

Anne Budge came out of nowhere for that lot when they could be bought at knock down price. A few other wealthy Hearts fans were circling at the time as well as the likes of James Anderson who has since ploughed millions in. I’d be surprised if there isn’t at least one hibs fan out there with similar wealth.

On a side note, with Foley approaching his 80s, do we know if there is other individuals within the Black Knights who would have the appetite and desire to become more invested in the club? After the passing of Ron Gordon we are floundering with zero direction aside from the apparent interests of the BKs. I fear our total ownership could end up in a state of no one giving a **** with no one out there having the financial means to take over.

I'll give 'em a call tomorrow and make a starting bid at £15M

The black knights and Gordon’s will want to see your bank details, hopefully you don’t have a joint account , as you will need to tell the wife.

If the club is worth £24m, the Bydand share is 60% of that, £14.4m.

Wouldn’t Foley and the BK’s not be interested in buying out the Gordons and taking full control?

Sell to whom though? Is there a very wealthy buyer desperate to come in?

They can’t unless they sell Bournemouth, is my understanding.

I'm sure Bournemouth have an estimated value of between £110-120 million. Flog off some of their B team players and buy up Hibs Foley! :grr:

IF BK bought 25 percent for £6 M
surely the whole club is/ or was worth £24 m
Allthough they would only have to pay £18 M .
They can’t as they aren’t allowed, but some other person that wants a bad investment, would.

Crops, do you think the club is worth that much? We’ve lost almost £7m over the last 4 years or so. The only year we made some money was when we got over £2m Covid insurance money

Our wages to turnover ratio was over 80% last accounts which is ridiculous Aberdeen figures recently were 54%

Think an industry average is around 1.15%

Your arithmetic is off :greengrin

If the club is worth £24m, the BK share is worth (slightly less than) £6m, being slightly under 25% after the second share issue this year.

The Gordons/Bydand share is 60% of the £24m, ie £14.4m.

The BK paid £6m for 25%, so that's a useful starting point for negotiations.

thanks for the update.
However the fact remains we aren’t a great buy, for any investor at the moment .

Even better... In which case, I'll start the bidding for the Gordon's shares at £10M.

Fortunately I don't have a joint account wi' the missus, so nae need to tell her ;-)

Would it be possible for Foley to do some sort of deal with Bournemouth to get some of their reserve players here on a short-term loan? Or is that completely wishful/delusional thinking?

We can’t do anything until Jan
Not sure what the rules are on number of loans though

The Gordon’s have claimed they’ve turned down numerous approaches.
