Surely this could have been posted in one of the other threads? Not sure there is need for another one.

This group of players won’t do much better under another manager. They’re absolute garbage.
And if they are willing to do better for another manager, then it shows what kind of people they are that they’ve downed tools.

I agree the players are crap. But there is no way we’d be bottom of the league if LJ or Montgomery were still here.
We were bang average under them. The problem is, David Gray has managed to take a bang average squad, sign another 10-11 players and make us worse.
As much as we have far deeper rooted problems, us being bottom of the league is on David Gray. He’s clueless.

He won't be resigning and why should he. We have him the contract, he signed it. Another payoff looming

Not as clueless as you with this pish 🙄

Are you suggesting Gray doesn’t have some responsibility for where we are?

Get your point but he isn’t some random from the English leagues. He is a club legend and maybe should do the honourable thing?
I’m not saying he should btw, but I think there is an argument to be made.

David Gray probably won’t get another manger job. Where his coaching career takes him is unknown but he’s not going to be like Monty and end up at a big club. I wouldn’t be walking away without severance in his position.

Was fully expecting a pretty swift Goodwin style announcement after that today. Have to admit I'm gutted that hasn't happened.
I'll always love Gray for his playing career, but we have to separate that from his coaching career which is (and in the immediate future will be) nowhere near good enough.
So much of it just doesn't make any sense. JDH randomly back on the bench but brings Levitt (who did well but hasn't played in ages) on. Rocky who hasn't played in about a year on in front of Iredale who's looked decent when called upon and we paid a fee for?
He honestly just doesn't have a clue and the football is as bad as I've seen us play.
Not exaggerating, half a row was free in front of where I sit in the west upper. All season ticket holders as well.
Sorry, but enough is enough.

He will, IMO, struggle to get a position anywhere in a hurry once the plug is pulled. His time in management / coaching at Hibs will hang around him like a bad smell and I struggle to see a Championship team taking a punt on him any time soon.
He will leave Hibs with my best wishes, it was just not the right time for him to step into the breach at ER.

A missed penalty by Boyle cost Jack Ross his job. Has history just repeated itself?

Boyle was still good then though. Repeatedly starting Boyle will probably cost Gray his job this time. Anyone can miss a pen.

SDG will be forgiven by all right-minded Hibs fans for coming up short as manager in the most trying of times. Decades from now, Sir David Gray will still be revered for delivering perhaps the greatest moment in our club's history. Nothing can take that away.
As for Ian Gordon, Kensell and MacKay .....
