I thought we would win today. I thought our ‘bad luck’ was bound to even out. I thought we were technically a reasonable team albeit far too slow and impotent.

Today’s performance was from start to finish garbage. Basic mistakes, no threat, ponderous, no confidence. Sure we might have scraped a draw but that would have been a travesty. St Mirren thoroughly deserved their win. Well done to them.

SDG is almost certainly done. I am sorry about that but can’t see how he can survive this unfortunately.

He is not the problem- but he will past the price. This club probably has a budget of 2-3x St Mirrens. They played like a team. We do not.

I am sorry Ron passed away but I am utterly unconvinced his son has a clue as to how to run a football club. I don’t know him but from what I have seen from his media/ press performances I am deeply unimpressed. Kensell impressed me even less.As a minimum Kensell needs removed but the greater issue is what does Hibernian stand for?

We were a Scottish team who used to nourish talent. Now we seem to be a corporate entity who hire mercenaries, loanees and expensive rejects. The team has no fight, no guile and cutting edge.

We do not have the budget in my view to buy highly talented mercenaries- but that’s what we do. We get second rate mercenaries.
Far too many on loan as well. Are they really up for it?

I doubt the current owner or even Black Knight would do this but far better to build with people who really know the Scottish game, build a core team of people who get the club and try and bring in through the Accadamy than hire on jobbers of term on massive money.

I have been following Hibs for over 60 years and this reminds me of the Walter Galbraith era 1962-3 season, stats 1 win in 12 18 club leauge 2 pts for a win. Lucky to avoid relegation that season doubt this squad will be as fortunate. I have also supported Hibs for a similar length of time and you are right for much of that it has not been great but I stand by my comments.

I am not one to criticise and generally don’t agree with constantly sacking people. However having observed Ian Gordon admitted only from what I have seen in the media etc I am genuinely concerned. I do not think he is a leader. I stand to be corrected but I watched his press conference when managers have been appointed and he hides and takes no responsibility. The vibes are all wrong.

On Kensell it’s a feel. He is paid as a CEO of a mid sized company not a. Medium sized Scottish football club. I would guess he is paid (although I don’t know) more than any similar position outside the old firm. He’s invisible, again I don’t see leadership. He may be good at squeezing the lemon but this is a football club not a corporate entity.

I also stand by my comments on the team not gelling. Many of these players are paid very handsomely. Hibs budget is one of the biggest in the leagues but the bang for the buck is terrible. I am not saying they don’t try. I am sure they do but there is no spirit or verve. I would prefer a home built team as a core who understand the Scottish game with a few additions rather than a set of guys that don’t gel who are mid end career often going through the motions.

To be honest I am seriously unimpressed. I don’t expect glory but I do expect a team I can associate with and a Board I think are competent. I don’t see that.

Maybe we have been but it doesn’t make it okay. We should strive for better, with the size of our budget and fan base we should rarely be outside the top 6 at worst.

Black Knights need control ASAP. They aren’t some magic bunch of football geniuses but I have no doubt the will improve things a lot.
