I thought watching our recent games the players seem to be playing for Gray and there doesn’t seem to be much negativity or unrest coming from the players rather they seem to be behind him …
Wither that’s enough or not I don’t know though hopefully it’s a good thing the players are sticking together in getting us out of the position we are in …
Do agree with what Iredale says here in fairness… :tin hat:

Tend not to listen to what players say in regards to things like this being honest. Scripted answer that a few have trotted out more than a few times since they first walked through the door at Easter road.
Do your jobs properly when you’re on the park and we won’t have to read this type of thing.

Sod the gaffers feelings, he will still get paid, we actually pay money to watch the sheite they have been serving up, it's us they should be saying it to.

They should just do their jobs on the park and keep their gobs shut. There's not one single player that's in a position to explain or excuse. They're a soft rabble, badly in need of a leader or two to set decent standards and kick *****.

Normally I listen to everything I can from the manager, staff ,players etc though agree I’d rather not in this sort of situation, rather things were going well .
I agree in it would be good to see them do their jobs better as a lot of what’s happened has been individual mistakes…
I just think it’s good that the players are taking some of the responsibility for it which you don’t always hear from players at clubs that’s results haven’t been great …
Shows a bit of character and unity . Hopefully we see it on the pitch this weekend 🤞👍

Do your talking on the pitch please.
Worrying he thinks we’ve been controlling games.
Anyone with half a brain would let us control any game. We don’t do anything with the ball. And then when the inevitable mistake happens we gift them a goal.

In all respect , who else is going to take to responsibility for the situation we’re in ? Ok gray has to take some of the blame but once they go on the park it’s on the players.
The majority of this lot have no character I’m afraid. Too many of them have failed time after time in the past.

I don't even think they are letting their manager down.
If there had been more games like the St Mirren game on the opening day - bright enough start, missed big chance, second half capitulation - then I'd accept that they were letting the manager down. The Dundee United away game ending had a capitulation feeling.
We're just a bit short of quality in attacking areas. A second goal, a 2 goal lead makes these daft goals we've been giving away consolation goals. The players are giving their everything, we're just leaving ourselves vulnerable to the effect that losing a late goal can have if your lead is insufficient.
It's a lack of quality. If Saturday's penalty tug hadn't been picked up by VAR I don't think anyone would have been any the wiser so I'm even loath to go slaughtering Myko there for letting his manager down.
So no, I don't buy that anyone is letting anyone down. We simply need to find a way to get a lead big enough that we're not vulnerable to one goal suckering us, in spite of hte fact that it's challenging to form a potent unit out of our various, odd attacking pieces.

In Mykos case you start pulling somebody’s shirt in the box you run the risk of giving away a penalty though the guy was never getting to the ball and Triantis was getting his shirt pulled just as much as the Dundee Utd player who could have maybe got to the ball , don’t see why we didn’t get one for the O’Hora incident which was similar either . I blame the Officials more for that than any of our players in ….
A game I thought we were in control off . As I thought we were in the first one before we had a player sent off . Even the Killie one giving away a pen in injury time the way we did i honestly think we have made our fair share of individual mistakes in games
And fair play of the likes of Iredale stating it . I didn’t hear to many players coming out of Old Trafford admitting they let ten Hag down like this one …

Technically yes, you are correct but there is contact at every corner with a push here and a tug there. We don't see 10 penalties a game because generally this thing is let go, certainly not trawled up by VAR to give as a penalty. The specific point was made about players not in a position to play the ball, Myko probably made the tug knowing the player was not in a position to play the ball, therefore unlikely to land him in hot water.
Therefore it doesn't qualify as letting his manager down, even though my instincts at the time (not seen the incident, trusted that VAR must have picked up something serious and got it right) were probably the opposite.
The point you make about the penalty at Killie - yes, I think Obita let his manager down there. Madness, that one.

When you have won 1 out of 11, folk are letting you down along the way.
Triantis let us down getting a stupid second yellow against Motherwell. As did Newell against Dundee Utd. The piss weak defending losing goals to long throws in to our box against Motherwell and Hearts, that’s just folk not concentrating, not a lack of quality.

I take your point about the red cards, fair enough.
But you can always look at a conceded goal and find fault. It's unrealistic to expect to have a peak Arsenal ability to win every week whilst only getting one goal. Folk will switch off, make the odd mistake, lose the odd goal. These take on added significance if we're not more than a goal up.

Your last paragraph is spot on.
Teams are more than happy to let us have the ball and think we’re controlling it.
They wait until we give the ball away cheaply which happens regularly under pressure

Totally agree that generally this sort of thing is let go otherwise we would be seeing 10 penalties a game as you say …
I agree again in it doesn’t qualify as letting the manager down though there has been incidents like Obita giving away a penalty or Newell getting sent off where I think some players have let the manager down to a degree …
In saying that I don’t want to see individual players getting slaughtered for it , I hope they learn from it which is why I found Iredales comments on it showing good character in the players seem to be willing to take responsibility rather than being quiet , saying nothing and letting the manager take the flak ..
Just my opinion though they seem to be playing for him and are behind him as he has been with them …
I just don’t think that’s a bad thing in they seem to have a togetherness even with things not going well.

Something or someone/some people are letting him down though. It can't be the case that recruitment was fine, training is fine, we're playing fine, the coaching is fine etc if we've won one league game this season.
There has to be at least one point of failure and unless we are saying it's solely Gray to blame, then he's being let down somewhere, imho.

Along with other rags I tend to ignore the EEN, and no wonder when we are ‘rooted at the bottom of the table’ conveniently forgetting their beloved herts were there just hours before

The time has long since passed where any words coming out of the mouths of players carried any weight. Shut it and do your talking on the pitch thanks.

The most cliched cliche. Hardly worth reading.
“The gaffers great, it’s not his fault honestly” - players
“Ultimately it’s my responsibility to get the players playing and get results” - manager
Rinse and repeat for every club every time they’re not performing.
