Don't know how many folk watched Raith Rovers v Ayr United tonight. But Lewis was deserved MOM bombing up and down the left wing at wingback playing a couple of beautiful crosses, one leading to a goal and chucking himself into at least one 40/60 tackle.

The best attitude you will ever see from a professional football player ... oh what I would give to see that from some of our current crop.

Club legend.

Attitude never in doubt with Lewis. He deliberately dropped a level so his performances were still relevant.

He could join any random 5s match in his 50s and be a stand out player.

I'm 36 and seen a decent amount of talent come through in my time. Lewis is undoubtedly my favourite ever Hibs player. I absolutely love the guy and will never have the words to do him justice.

Was quite eye opening watching him on Open Goal and seeing how much fan abuse affected him. Then again of course it would. Footballers take an unnatural amount of abuse.

Whatever he goes on to do after football I hope Hibs do all they can to involve him as much as possible.

The cross for the goal was unreal

Glad to see him and Hanlon still playing at a good level.

As others have said, one of my favourite Hibs players growing up.

Met him at a festival once and he was an absolute gent

Bumped into him in one of our local supermarkets about 3 weeks ago, he was in with his wife and Kids, my boy was still in his football gear from playing his match on the Sunday afternoon. Always happy to talk to you, talks to you like your a friend he hasn't seen for ages and spoke to my boy about his game and his his team were doing. He really is a great guy and his attitude towards football at 36 is top class.

I watched the game and thought Lewis was outstanding.

Putting aside the lovely guy with a great attitude stuff, which I often feel is brought up to excuse a perceived lack of ability, he was simply an excellent football player.

The lead up to that goal was fantastic, from all involved.

I hope the reason both Stevenson and Hanlon left is they wanted first team football. They are both far better than any of the players who don't feature in the starting 11 and I bet they were on less money too. Both seem to be doing well and Lewis looks to be a class apart. Such a good player and I still think his energy and ability to hold the ball and play accurate short passes combined with his aggression and tackling ability would have been a great benefit in our midfield over the years.

I've seen Rovers a few times this season and I was amazed how good Lewis is on their artificial surface. Can't remember him having a good game on plastic with Hibs! He's been excellent. Paul is doing well enough but age is showing a bit now.
