If Malky spent the whole summer looking at creative players and the only one that he could find was McCowan then I would have serious doubts he would be able to pluck a free agent who hasn't trained for months to come in, get match fit and hit the ground running to solve our problems.

Have to pray the BKs have some kind of plan for January, if not it will be someone on loan on Jan 31st when the good players become available. :agree:

I honestly don't think that it's simply down to the players we sign. There's something seriously amiss with the training set up. Even lower standard players understand the fundamental basics of pass and move with at least some degree of efficiency and planning in their moves. We make players look worse than they are in my opinion.

Wouldn’t be going near a free agent at this point. They’ll have been without a club for at least 2 months, potentially about 5 months. By the time they were up to speed it will be January anyway when we’ll have infinitely more options.

Would need to fact check this but listening to Scott Allan last night and he said there hadn't been a single assist from a Hibs midfielder in the league so far this season.

We have guys in the centre of the pitch that are solid and shore us up a bit but aren't cutting anyone open or taking a game by the scruff of the neck pulling us through. We have wide men that are sorely out of form performing poorly. And a lone striker through the middle that is more often that not starved of service.

When you have a starting line-up with Boyle, Youan, Gayle and Hoilett like we did on Sunday you could feel entitled to expect to see signs of trying some quick interplay and exciting football.
