Bursik deserves to be dropped. We know very little about Smith, give him a chance. We can’t keep watching players make mistakes and expect it to change.

Rocky in for Miller. Not a right back but has good physical attributes and is a good 1v1 defender and we have no other option. Just tell Rocky not to go forward and in fairness to the big man he’ll at least try step in and play a ball into the attackers feet. Miller same boat at Bursik. I was actually half thinking Campbell at right back as that’s one position I think he would do an alright job at.

Newell in for Triantis. I like Triantis but he was very quiet the other night and the early bookings are making him a liability, added to that Newell is captain.

Front 4 remain the same- need time to gel and get match fit.

Gayle will get stick for missing chances, one especially was a sitter. But he has the knack of the ball falling to him and I have faith he’ll score and continue to get chances.

What I wouldn’t be surprised to see is the same back 5, Youan dropped for Nicky Cadden and Gayle dropped for Myk with gray wanting to battle it out, go long and get crosses in the box

Think Triantis can play right back, had a game at right back last season if memory serves and was decent.

Still want to see Levitt advanced in a midfield 3. Would want to see it with Kwon and Triantis behind him but moved Triantis to shore up right back.
Levitt is a player we know has ability if not legs, struggles in a midfield 2 but has previous of being very good before in a 3 where his lack of mobility is covered more. Just don't think we have given him enough of a chance in a set up that suits him. I know most wouldn't agree.

Gayle looks like he'll be more effective off the bench than starting. That might be a tad unfair, I don't know yet. Him and Hoilett certainly need rotated anyway.

Would be looking to get Youan more involved if he is up to it. Still our most dangerous player

I think Kwon & Triantis started well but not seen enough drive and forward impetus so would drop one. I’d also like to see either of NMW or Levit get an extended chance alongside the likes of Kwon, Triantis & Hoilet. Newell & Campbell have both been poor this season and we already know they aren’t the answer. Kwon & Triantis won’t be here next season and I think there’s a possibility of either NWM or Levitt establishing themselves if played correctly and a better blend in midfield around them.

My thinking was that the last time we had a decent midfield performance (vs Motherwell last season) we had Newell and Triantis at the base of the midfield in front of a back 4. I thought it was worth going for that again, we’ve not often had both Newell and Triantis available. Also, by rotating Newell, Triantis and Kwon, we can keep having them knocking their pan in through 3 games in 8 days.

Hoilett was excellent on Sunday and alongside Newell and Triantis could be a decent blend.

I was also in favour of Myko coming in for Gayle - for whom starting 2 games in 4 days may be a big ask. He missed a few chances Gayle, but I still think he’s a good player who should hopefully be back at the weekend.

Only change I wanted that Gray hasn’t gone for is Miller keeping his place at RB.

I think it’s a sensible line-up and helps us have another fresh, sensible one on Sunday too.
