Where was the all out attack today. For a game we 'needed to win', I was left totally underwhelmed. Players enjoy playing more offensively surely. What a timid, scared performance and as I called before when we lead in these games we hang on for dear life to win 1-0 and 90% of the time fail to do so. Hearts are joint bottom for a reason remember even with a top no.1!

Offensively we were poor.
And yet, we should have scored 4.
Strange game in many ways.

It’s strange because I never really felt we went for it at any point.
But at the same time, we had half a dozen clear cut chances which you rarely get in a game like that.

Do you think a more attacking performance would have got 3 points?

When I heard the team being announced today, I had visions of a 4-2-4 set up and thought WOW, daring stuff. OK - it didn’t quite work out that way - we can but hope - one day!!

We had an attacking team with no plan how to get them into the game

That about sums it up. And the lack of plan goes back to the summer when we decided McCowan was the only attack minded midfielder we could possibly go for. No point in having good wide players and whatever else when you’ve nobody to pass them the ball.

Youan set up a good chance which was missed and was subbed shortly after. Strange decision.

Thought it was pretty clear Gray was content for us to sit in and let them have possession in areas they were unlikely to hurt us. Pretty brutal to watch but could argue it worked to some extent when we've had the better chances in the match.

It's hailed as a tactical masterclass when other teams do it to us.
