Apart from losing the late goal I found this very disappointing as well , really seems to becoming a problem that something needs to be done about before a player is seriously injured and decent fans banned over the actions of a few idiots….
Just don’t understand anyone’s mentality in wanting to do this!.

Utter morons, there is no excuse or reason whatsoever to be throwing things at players

Agreed. Only gets the club in trouble and there’s also a good chance they’ll be identified and banned from ER.

It's not a new thing either. Any category A game there tends to be something thrown and it's generally from that corner

It is actually possible that a player could die if struck on the head.
This is not acceptable.
I hope the culprit winds up out of the way somewhere.

Another hole burnt on the pitch following our goal. And there was something else thrown at a hertz player lying injured in the box not long after. Hopefully the smokebomber should be able to be picked out on camera.

same thing every time unfortunately, folk with half a brain cell thinking it's okay, won't be that when they get identified and banned.
absolutely no need for it

Hibs are good at identifying and banning these idiots, so that will happen.
Would be considering more police, a net, and proper searches for that corner, because it's far too often. Embarrassing our club.

Guy that went in before me had his collar, back, sides and front checked. Same guy checked me and it was on you go

Police in the ground are very expensive, a net would be good if only put up for the 4 risk games a season.
As regards proper searches for folk in that corner. How would you work that without causing massive bottlenecks prematch given it would require everyone in the East searched before entry?
FWIW the risks at East at South have been massively reduced with the movement of boisterous laddies and fandans in the summer to their new playground as far away as possible from the away end. The CCTV system installed by Leanne is also very good quality for identifying the idiots who throw stuff etc so they can be weeded out in the aftermath.
Think Hibs have the balance right now and the net in risk areas could be a suitable tweek if required.

News from Belgium of a player losing a finger and top half of two fingers when he picked up what he thought was a smoke bomb! It was a banned firecracker. More action is needed to crackdown on the flares and smoke bombs at Scottish grounds....adds nothing to the atmosphere and costs clubs money and maybe eventually heavy fines and points deductions.
