No Fizzy drinks at all at half time by the time we went to the loo and joined a queue and then got to serving all that was left to eat was 2 burgers and 2 Pizza and grandson said I have seen burgers and pizza so no thanks. This is every home game , the board dont care about 90% of the fans all they want are fans to use bars and hospitality. I dont use any of this because my grandson is only 14 and I drive us to every game and if I had a couple of pints would miss half the game going to the loo( I am 77 ).
If fans are really unhappy about things at ER and feel the board are at fault I think the best way to make things uncomfortable for them is for fans to boycott the bars and hospitality. They would soon sit up and ask what is the problem.

Before the game I asked for 2 cokes, got given 1 sprite split between 2 cups and told they’d run out - but they charged me for 2 drinks. It’s a shambles every week up there.
The caterers Kensell brought in might be good at serving up fancy hospitality but they really are crap on the kiosk catering. Can't be that difficult can it.

E mailed Kensell about this a few weeks ago and his reply stated it was a one off and wouldn't happen again. It has though and it happens week after week and is getting out of hand now.Bet they never run out in hospitality though

At the St Johnstone game, at the West Upper kiosk, my son asked what was in the meal deal that was advertised.
“Pie and a drink” they told him, he pointed out that it was cheaper to buy a pie and a drink separately and that threw them, then they just said C they didn’t know what was in the meal.
Terrific stuff.

If only we could bring good food into the stadium of our own choosing ...
oh that's right, we can!
So cheaper and better and it saves us wasting time waiting in long queues at the game

Or … if the kiosks were run properly, those who can afford and choose to pay money for food, that sales of which support the club ultimately, can do so. And those (I include myself in this, and presumably yourself too) that can’t really, can choose to bring their own.

It's not really the point.
If you went to a restaurant and the service and food was crap you wouldn't say 'well I could have just cooked a meal at home so it's my fault really'.
I went before the game to get a juice for my daughter and her pal, because you can't bring your own juice in. No fizzy drinks because the machine was broken, no Capri Sun and no Fruit Shoots so it was water or nothing. That's piss poor service whether I had a choice about buying it or not.

Are the kiosks not outsourced these days?
If so the club should be looking into this shabby service, and if it's not they still should be looking into this shabby service.

What a stupid point that is. You can bring food in if ye want, but for those who can’t be arsed carrying a packed lunch around with them, I think it’s fair to expect the option to get some at the ground, just like every other fan of every other club in the country.

Could have watched it in the house, saved on fuel, sitting in traffic, the walk to the stadium etc etc.
It's not the point though.

They were fine with me bringing in a hamper a few weeks ago. But as soon as I put the travel rug down in the centre circle some jobsworth steward had a hissy fit.

If a restaurant was crap you wouldn't go back to it. Hibs kiosks contain overpriced crap food so the same applies. If folk continue to buy the food and drink from the kiosks it will continue in it's current guise as there is no motivation or need to change.
As for the drinks, at least the kids dentist will be pleased about the lack of fizzy drinks.
In all seriousness it is a pain not being able to bring a non bottled or canned drink into the stadium for kids. Solution for me was putting juice for the kids into small drink dispensing backpacks.

Does the same apply to the football itself? Should everyone just stop going because it's crap?
The food on offer at Easter Road reflects on Hibernian Football Club itself. People have a right to expect better

I almost never use the kiosks. The last time I did, I asked for a coke. What I got was dark fizzy water. (Presumably they forgot the syrup or just weren't bothered).

There really are so many signs of an erosion of standards throughout the club, isn’t there?

Nah, the football is a whole different ball game.
Most of us go to Easter Road because we have always gone, for better or worse it's our church.
It's a place we went with our dads and grandads, it's where we meet our friends, it's where we go with our kids and our grand kids.
Hibs have been pretty crap for the 50 odd years i've supported them but i'll never stop going as that's not what it's really about.
Crap food is another matter and a place that serves up large amounts of beige food for an hour every two weeks is never going to be much cope.
Best avoided for a load of reasons and as we eat 2 or 3 times a day so another consumption opportunity isn't far away.

Had the same issue when trying to order a Diet Coke 45 mins before kick off I was told no and to go downstairs for one in lower tier. The club shop the same another waste of space with hardly anything in it. You wouldn’t think Xmas a money making machine was near.

Think we can now but last season i was challenged by a steward as our family had Greggs sausage rolls and told to eat them outside and not allowed to take them in! Unbelievable.... haven't had issues this season tho....

Other than the food kiosks and the first team squad I'd say we're doing alright.
