I'm travelling back for the Derby this weekend and thinking of watching the wee Spanish Derby the night before. I'm decidedly out of the loop with the Edinburgh drinking scene as far as watching sports goes - where is good in Central Edinburgh /the Bridges region for watching football and will likely show the game? With so many Spanish in Edinburgh these days/students etc, I assume there'll be some decent places

The Polwarth Tavern have a big Spanish contingent and is the base for a couple of Edinburgh supports club, Athletico and another cant remember which. The Polly is great for watching the football.

The Strathmore has Spanish night every Monday and it's packed! (although, granted, tomorrow isn't Monday)

Best wee pub in Edinburgh, that.

Interesting thread for me anyway . Never sure what pubs show Spanish football . Programme about Andalusians living in Edinburgh last year had a Sevilla supporter in a pub in High Street ( maybe World`s End so near our club`s original home ) where he said there were 14 Sevilla FC supporters who meet to watch games .
On a similar theme , used to get threads about watching Hibs in Dublin , London etc . Very aware that fans have different reasons for supporting our club from a distance ( on holiday / work trips , historical supporters of Hibernian FC etc etc ) and that technology means that many ( of all clubs ) are able to watch their team without paying and that TV deals for Scottish football limit opportunities for fans to watch us but are there still arranged meetings for Hibernian fans for matches in Dublin ? Does our club`s marketing department do anything to increase contact with supporters who live too far away from ER to attend regularly whether they can legally see televised matches or not ?
