Anywhere open early to steel the nerves? I don't mean 11am here, there's more steeling that that needed.

I'm pretty sure I got a pint in there with my breakfast at around 10am before one of the early kick off Tynecastle derbys a couple of years ago

Is Middletons the only boozer around the Easter Road area that the dogs drink in before the derby? They did use the masonic club on Leith Walk though I guess that's gone now

Are the Artisan and Hoppy still for good guys and gals when we play that mob at Easter Road

Hoppy wil definitely be Hibs fans.

Artisan is usually a mixed bag week to week with home and away fans mingling. I'd give it a miss tomorrow though.

7am midweek but 11 on a Sunday (usually, may be different for a derby).

When a poster who has so many years of knowledge and experience of the licenced trade is querying some of the early openings, you wonder if any are sailing close to the wind legally?

I’d doubt any would take such risks mind you.

They’ve maybe applied for an occasional licence? I doubt it though.

Our wee group normally meet up in Safari Lounge, I wouldn't bother going there on a derby day, I don't like sharing a city with them even less a pub.

Does anyone know what time Robbies opens today? Think it's normally 12.30 on a Sunday.

Not quite 30 years but I’ll be phoning my licensing lawyer on Monday to apply myself.

Think the Lodge is still there, thought it was rebuilt when that whole site was redeveloped.
