Since 1993-94, when the current points system was introduced, we've had six points after eight games but never five until now.

If you retroactively apply three for a win to seasons before that then this would be our worst start since 1986-87, where we would also have had five points. We finished 9th of 11 that year.

Was just thinking this earlier. We traditionally start seasons quite well. Can’t remember being bottom after 8 games before.

It's also worth noting that Hearts have had their worst ever start and we are still below them. It's embarrassing.

I imagine a gradual increase from 10 to 12 teams?
