That is dreadful news. Compounded by the fact his wife has an aggressive form of MS and their kids are still very young.

I guess it's not really one for this board, but I can see why you put it on here.

This is just soul destroying news. Such an absolute machine of a man and a great ambassador to the cycling world and Scottish sport. An inspiration for many. Tragic story and not fitting of the man.

Puts everything into perspective. Such a true warrior in his sport. Such sad sad news. Thoughts are with Chris and his family.

Absolutely brutal. Only 48 and by all amounts lived the right way and was obviously super fit. As mentioned, his kids are young and his wide is battling MS.

Absolutely soul destroying. I can only hope the family can male the best of the time they have left together.

Was really upset when I read this last night, heartbreaking news for him and his family, especially given the situation with his wife’s health as well

Very very sad and he seems so philosophical about it.
