I've always thought 'back the team not the regime' is a good sentiment though so would happily join in any organised protest against those running the club. This decline has gone on too long and it's getting worse.

Our fans are the only shinning light we have. Tremendous numbers home and away for years now considering the crap we have had to endure.

Will be sad but interesting to gauge at the same time what will happen if we get beat next week. In there enough numbers with anger, or will apathy set in.

The clown in charge of us both owner and CEO should be the ones staring themselves in the mirror asking what they can do. The answer would be to sell up and resign.

No one should be surprised at what is happening. The people in charge did not know what to do when appointing yet another manager.

David gray wasn’t ready to try and rebuild the club. The club is a nightmare an utter shambles.

There is no doubt we are in a relegation battle this season.

Any anger must be directed clearly at the board and the abysmal recruitment in the past 3-4 seasons.

I haven't felt this disconnected from the club since Calderwood, when we all knew he would leave and for some reason the Board turned down compo for him. We had a revolving door of lower league English loan players and the atmosphere in the stadium was terrible..not anger, just acceptance that it was absolutely crap.

Just moan about it and do nothing, they know it , that's what they don't care.

If they think that ( or you for that matter ) you and them don't know much about the pretty recent history of this club. I remember when Fenlon was on the brink, we played Hearts off the park, absolutely dominated them, in a league cup tie at ER. Their keeper played the game of his life and we lost 0-1 to a wonder goal. After that game fans were out the back of the main stand with flaming torches and pitchforks, and Fenlon wasn't the target.

The day Leeann Dempster attended her first board meeting there were 2,000 folk outside the main stand calling for the board to GTF ... the season hadn't even started.

When RG took over this club my post was 'congratulations mate, just so long as you know that if things don't go well eventually the fans target will be you, not the manager'
If we get the result we all expect on Sunday then nobody will get a pass .... not SDG, not Malky McKay, certainly no Ben sodding Kensell and definately not the Gordons. They will find out that 'loving the club' isn't enough to save any owner. IMO with such an early kick off the final whistle could see a mass exodus ... not for the pubs, but the back of the main stand.

Pointless thread. We are a very passive support and it's just a case of sitting on our hands and hoping for a good season now and again.

Match boycotts, marching en masse to East Mains, chanting abuse and throwing rotten fruit at the players, protest camp outside ER until the Gordons agree to sell up...these are the sort of things that would put clubs under pressure. Nobody REALLY cares that much tho. It's only football after all.

I don’t think it’s pointless.

It’s a total piss take right now.

There is hardly a person at the club who is actually doing their job right now.

CEO ?

Recruitment ?

MM ?

Manager and his staff ?

I can’t even think of many players I want to keep.

It’s that bad.

Where does this end as we keep making same mistakes.

It starts at the top - so many failed appointments and decisions.

Club needs serious change - this has gone too far and is spiralling out of control.

We have no leaders and have no fight in this team - we could easily get relegated.

19-10-2024, 05:28 PM
The fans will just bend over and take it, too many happy clappers and that is what you will get.
I listen to these fan pod casts, and they consist of too many contributors who seem scared to call the club out, they all agree with each other, all afraid to stick their heads above the parapet and call the club out for what it is. Everything is great according to them.
If we just do nothing then we can have no complaints.

Correct. The 'get behind the team' mantra is bull**** when the team utterly fails to respond to the backing they've had so far. They might actually perform better in front of empty stands.

There are better ways to spend time and money than suffering through this garbage season after season, although there will be a natural fall-off in attendances after next week's derby defeat rather than a concerted boycott.

Having slept on it I think the only thing the fans can realistically achieve is pressuring Ian Gordon to eventually sack Kensell, MacPherson, MacKay and Gray and bring an entirely new executive team in.

Right now though it should be short and sweet, so Kensell Out would be a good start.
