My contract is up and the price is due to jump. What is the best way to get a good deal with them?

Not switching to virgin as don’t want/need their broadband so without a direct competitor are there any trigger words etc to get Sky to reduce the price?

I had an issue with my cable from my dish so had the engineers out the other day. They had their tablet up and managed to reduce a hell of a lot of different parts of my package. Maybe sabotage your cable? :greengrin

I’ve got one - we get Netflix on the current deal with multi room and Sky Atlantic.

Suppose anything on those channels will be on the stick though. Just the multi room we wouldn’t have.

Get another firestick and it'll still be cheaper :aok:

In all seriousness be prepared to tell them you're leaving and they will eventually get you through to their renewals people who have the real power to drop prices significantly.

You can get more connections. You'd need more firesticks though unless there's an app for your TVs.

Phone them up they will offer a better deal. Say you’re still wanting to leave and tell them to cancel. You will get a better offer a few days before it expires.

Tv in the room doesn’t have a usb point so that’s ruled out for now.

Cheers everyone - looks like cancelling and waiting is the option to go for.

Think fire sticks connect to the tv using an hdmi port rather than usb

If you can use Sky multiroom on a TV then you can use a Firestick I think as they all use HDMI. Or do you mean USB to power it? If so, you can just plug into a USB adapter into the mains (the stick usually comes with the adapter - it is just that it can be more convenient to plug it into a USB on the TV).

Cheers - will check the tv later to see what I have. I already have 2 connections on my stick so the outlay would be 1 new stick and save myself loads every month.
