Newell didn’t play last timeout anyway so it would just be Boyle missing out from the St J game. We do have plenty options now though with Youan, Hoilett and Gayle all fit and ready to play

I reckon Hoilett will play instead of Youan and Cadden will come in for Boyle (if not fit)

I thought Hoilett looked good and would like to see him start , as much as I like Youan who is probably our most dangerous player next to Boyle , playing him on the left wing with Obita would worry me .

Probably go with Cadden , Myko and Hoilett if Boyle doesn’t make it .

Probably not a popular suggestion though I might go with a midfield of Triantis, Kwon and Campbell if Newell doesn’t make it too .

I like this, with one change … Hoilett for Youan. Pity we don’t have Bowie available. Bench might have some good options. Looks like we are getting stronger, but time will tell.

I like the look of that team - not just because you've somehow got it right in the middle of the screen in perfect shape (how do you do that?!?) - you've got pretty much our most in form eleven in there though and that's what counts. Hoilett put in a great 45 against St Js and would be nice to see him affecting things from the start - he probably won't last the 90 but it's a squad game now with 5 subs - there are options to change things but that looks a good starting line up

I was deliberately trying to pick a slightly extreme (can you be "slightly extreme"? 🤔) example of a team set up to shut the game down and frustrate them - not sure I'd really pick that side myself - with the idea that they can't break it down and the fans do get on their back, before we change to a more attacking line up in Muhammad Ali "rope a dope" style 😁.
I do think he might go for a counter attacking approach with a 3rd centre half and pace up front. With Boyle out that probably means Youan playing.

He may be a better overall footballer but is not a better solution for the role Campbell was playing today. The problem I see with Newall is that he needs one of the Triantis or Kwon positions…….and they are both better than him. Others are better at the positions remaining.

Id be tempted to give Rudi more game time in that position though, think he's naturally more of a 10 than Newell.

Why do the majority of our injured players take ‘longer than expected’ to get back? We really are an unlucky team when it comes to injuries.

Good to have Boyle back though. Boyle and Hoilett will cause teams so much trouble.
