Sad to see his passing from cancer at just 59.

He lit up the 1990 World Cup in Italy winning the Golden Boot and the Golden Ball. If you said Schillaci to any football fan over the age of 40 they would know exactly who you meant.

A great tournament but always remember getting off school early to get home to watch Scotland v Costa Rica.....

Italia 90 was the first World Cup that i can remember watching. Everyone at primary school back then pretending to be Toto Schillacci!

That news really shook me yesterday.

That summer was a hugely stressful time for Hibs fans but I'll never forget that world cup, and he and his celebrations were iconic. Sad that his career never reached the same heights afterwards but his star burned brightly for those few weeks.
