Would love to see similar. The need for passion is evident.
We also need to pull everyone together.

Dean Brennan for the England job, aka Mike Bassett....

Something ironic in railing against moaners - in the style of Karl Pilkington.
Not for me. He isn't wrong in what he is saying but it is still a rant.

Interesting to see that the comments below it were unanimously supportive.
I think it's great to go there on the rare, odd occasion. Whether he has a point or not I couldn't possibly say as I don't know anything about the guy, Barnet or their situation.
If it becomes a weekly tirade it becomes a bit "Lenny".
With Gray being mentioned in the title - so far I've found his communication to be 100% satisfactory and professional and I really like his calm, measured approach and ability to avoid getting drawn into daft stuff.
Most clubs seem to have an element these days who are impossible to satisfy, whether that is in the ground or online. Barnet are no different and we are no different. Joe Tortolano and others would probably confirm that it was always thus.

Agree with every word of this.

Great interview. Doesn't just apply to his own club, that's for sure.

Feel sorry for the interviewer - kept trying to move it back to the game but Brennan would find a way to bring it back to his point. Paraphrasing:
I: “Back to the football, good game between two top sides wasn’t it?”
B: “yeah we have some good young player. Players who are on social media seeing the grief they get. A goalkeeper getting it on social media”
:greengrin
I don’t really have an issue with what he was saying though it was a bit rangy. Reminded me a wee bit of the Billy Brown “struggling” interview though about fans rather than players

I know nothing about the guy but a quick perusal of his career suggests he has a habit of falling out with people at the clubs he manages and either walking out or being sacked.
The interview is just posturing really, a rant. He's also put the interviewer in a really awkward position, totally ignoring his questions and being pretty aggressive. Whether he has a point or not is irrelevant, the growling and snarling at the camera and hopping about from foot to foot is a bit Billy 'strugglin' Broon and nobody thought he was fantastic when he had his rant about fans and the media.
Unfounded negativity and constant abuse in the ground or on social media helps no one but whilst his rant might get a short term positive reaction, longer term it will be a stick to beat him with. I'd put money on it now that he won't see out the season.

I can see where he is coming from but he is being unprofessional. Do a video expressing this on your own socials. This isn't going to bring people together imo and asking fans to go elsewhere when they will be there well after he is gone seems wrong. Staring into the camera appeared to me that he had thought about this and it wasn't off the cuff. If he expressed his thoughts calmly in a social media video saying he wants unity and positivity then he would achieve more imo

Without a wider context, I got a Lee Johnson self preservation/self promotion vibe to that interview.

I partly liked the passion and that he was saying things that most managers would probably love to say about moaning supporters and moaning that beer is too expensive - Pioneers thread anyone? :greengrin
On the other hand it was a bit cringey.

The bit where he talks right down the camera and dictates that it be kept in is comedy gold!
