Unseen work

Now the transfer window has closed, what is everyone’s thoughts?
Delighted we have kept Elie. No McCowan however I think we might see Bowie play a deeper, almost 10/just off Myk role like he did against Dundee when he came on. Could Hoilett play in the 10?
Will we see a flatter midfield 3 of Kwon, Triantis and Levitt, with the latter being allowed to float more and focus on creating?
Question marks over the defence and keeper. Will Ekpiteta keep his place ahead of Rocky, will the signing of Iredale move us to a 3 at the back?

It has to be either Kwon or Triantis imo, which instantly shows how much of a mess our recruitment has been.
Bursik/any other goalie on our books
Miller Rocky O’Hora Obita
Kwon
Newell Rudi
Boyle Myko Bowie

Kwon will be first choice but he's not going to play every game. We know of at least 3 he won't be available for.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see Rocky start on Sunday after all this.
He’s arguably still our best CB.

No matter what 11 we put out after that farcical recruitment only Bowie and maybe Kwon helps us. We have a weaker overall 11 than last season due to losing Maolida. 8th to 10th awaits

We have 4 poor centre half’s and Rocky is the poorest one of them all.

I’m not so sure he is based on what we’ve seen so far.
The fact there’s a debate to be had on this sums up the recruitment of this window of areas that required surgery.

So Myko is no use, Hoilett will give us nothing and Triantis won't add anything to the midfield?
Not to mention Elie coming back in.

Not on the evidence so far, the two new ones have been murder.

Myko on the proviso he stays fit will be very good for us.
Hoilett I expect won't play all that many games, similar impact to McGeady/Le Fondre. Triantis wasn't good enough in previous spell and we were well stocked with defensive midfielders and crying out for an attacking midfielder.
All the new players need time and can come good, too early to label it an overall success or failure - admittedly though the early signs aren't good. Appear to be worse off at goalkeeper and centre back with the glaring omission of that central attacking midfield No. 10 type. Massive lack of creativity in the middle of the park.
We have good threats out wide, assuming that's the plan given the need to add CDM after CDM. Makes us a bit one dimensional and player wise could go either way - I love Youan as a player, doesn't seem he wants to be here though. Love Boyle but signs he is on the decline with age and injuries catching up. Hoilett could be useful but how often will he play.
Gut tells me we are weaker than last year and so much for thr game changing BK link up that in the first window has amounted to hee haw.
Hoping all these guys come together and Gray gets them going - struggling to see it though.
As for McCowan, that really is a shocker. Not to lose out to Celtic obviously, nothing can be done about that but to leave it too late to get an alternative. We should have decided our best offer with a take or leave deadline so we could move on to the next target.
Just gubbed at the minute but holding out hope of this group proving me wrong that there's a cohesive team to be had in there
