Just want to say a massive thank you to all who left their lovely comments and who joined in the applause for John. What an amazing feeling it was when Hibs scored during the minutes applause. A feeling that will stay with our family forever.

Poetic it was. Sorry I couldn’t make it in the end been in my bed since Friday.

HibsTv was t playing ball so I had to endure Open All Mics.

RIP Jonnyboy I’d imagine you’d have been writing that post match piece with a a mixture of pride, chuckle and “typical Hibs”.

indeed his memory most certainly marches on.

That goal couldn't have been timed any better if it had been scripted by John himself. It must have been a special moment for all who were close to John.

For those of us in the crowd who had followed Jonnyboy's match reports over the years that moment can't have failed to bring a smile ... It was almost as if he was looking down influencing events :greengrin

It was an absolute privilege to be part of Jonny's special moment yesterday.

Not even he would have predicted that goal, at that time. Absolutely magical and a true Kack in the Shack / Colin Stein moment for those who have long memories 😁

RIP Jonnyboy

I send my love to all his family, especially to Alan and Mattie, who I was fortunate enough to meet over the years.

Keeping you all in my heart and thoughts.

I'm not a believer in the afterlife, but now I'm not so sure.

That goal at that time can't just be coincidence. A legendary Hibby still at work.

RIP Jonnyboy. One of our own.

It was perfect timing. I’m not a religious man but I looked up to the sky when the goal went in, that one was for you John.

That was amazing timing and, as others have already said, John is in with a shout for an 'assist' for that one.

To the angels high above.

I could almost hear Jonny's chuckle when that ball hit the back of the net.

What can you say, perfection! I wonder if that has ever happened, or ever will again.

I'm glad that John's loved ones could see and hear that demonstration of love and respect for him.

Myself, I was clapping and cheering from home.

It was a great moment alright, and as soon as Bowie wrestled his way through the two defenders with the tribute applause ringing around the stadium you just sensed something special was about to happen.
