For years now our sides been far too soft. It's no coincidence that losing players like Darren McGregor and Marvin Bartley , guys that will run through brick walls, has seen our performances decline . I always feel you need two or three players that can really lift the players around then with big tackles or last ditch defending. The mentality is too soft just now and I'd love to see us go out and sign 1 or 2 guys like sylla at Dundee who just break up attacks and foul their way through games while disrupting the opposition .

This can then be the catapult for our forward players to go and win games.

Changes are required but it will mean dropping Newell and maybe Boyle to change the formation

It's hard to disagree. I've supported Hibs all my life which without giving away my age is some considerable decades put it that way. I don't have a season ticket as my job involves shifts but I get to a good proportion of home and away games every season.

Genuinely considering giving the games a miss for a while as I think it's starting to affect my mental health. I always go into games confident with that persevere attitude but you end up leaving absolutely deflated. It's just a game at the end of the day of course it is but the levels of disappointment have far far outweighed the positives over the decades.

We have been a slow decline ever since the 2016 Cup win. Each season we recruit players of a lower standard from the season before and it shows on the pitch. You compare the folk who started that day in 2016 McGinn, McGregor, Hanlon, Stevenson, Cummings, Gray. Guys who used to give it all on a consistent basis to what we have now. No disrespect to the likes of Newell, Campbell, Myko etc but they just don't have the same heart or engine.

Gray will always be a club legend but he isnt ready to step into the hot seat yet.
