Ok 1 point on the board…raging as feel like it’s 2 points dropped and a loss but we scored 2 goals and have a point..we also maintain our good record against Dundee at home - they haven’t won at ER since 2001.
We move onto Killie away..
Derek McInnes…
Killie play 3 games in a week..Aberdeen away - Copenhagen then Hibs on Sunday.
Hibs haven’t won at Rugby Park since October 2020 with a Nisbet penalty winner - only 3 away games since then.
Hibs unbeaten against Killie in last 4 games.
Transfer window will be shut be then but hopeful we can still sign some starters.
Killie currently bottom of the league - 7 goals against and 0 scored.
Expecting a tough game as always at Rugby Park.
There is a 2 week break after the game for internationals.

If killie are needing points on the board still when the game comes round, we’re awfy good at dropping our pants and giving them to teams in poor form.

Think Hoilett is due back September but when in September??
Doubt they will risk him on 3G pitch when there is another 2 weeks after to fully recover.
Probably be back for St J home and then Huns away.
Regarding the team…
I would go for.:
New keeper (essential)
Not really sure about back 4 - not convinced with any of them right now. We need a new CB though.
Kwon
Rudi New player
Boyle Myko Bowie
Things are that bad that I feel we need to add several this week if we are seriously wanting to make top 6 let alone challenge for top 4.

Can’t see us getting anything from that game in all honestly. We have a keeper that couldn’t catch a cold if it was flung at him and the leakiest defence in the league so far. Killie is a tough place to go.

Football fans are probably naturally negative in outlook as a default setting when it comes to their own clubs - effectively waiting for the worst to happen and not being surprised when it does.
Kilmarnock fans I’m sure will be looking at next weeks game and thinking “Hibs are on a poor run of form and need a result to kick start their season - who do they play next? Of course it’s us - Seen it all before..etc”

we will be playing them off the back of a hard European game it’s a chance for a win We have to tske thst opportunity
The international break gives gray chance to work with new players recently brought in but we don’t want to go into the break bottom of the league

Agree but they have made it clear European games have taken priority and rested players
If they go out then they will clearly play strongest team v us so it will be a hard game I think
every team knows we are leaking goals and not winning games yet
We don’t have European games as an excuse

I mean yeah but that's understandable right?
We are 2nd bottom after a poor start to the season, playing the bottom placed team who haven't picked up a point, and operate with a much smaller budget than us.
I get people are tired of negativety but I'm genuinely perplexed what other response you could expect in the circumstances if we don't win.

Negative as ever for me, but I haven’t seen anything this season, so far, that makes me think we can win this game. Defence & keeper look shaky, midfield missing, no creativity, no flow to the play and no attacking numbers in the box. Add to that no individual players playing with a good level of consistency. Killie needing a point also after their poor start. I think a 1-1 draw will probably be the best we get.

Triantis will certainly be fit - he’s been on the bench for Sunderland lately. Whether it’s in anyone’s interests for him to go straight into the team, I’m not so sure.
Iredale I know less about, other than he plays in the area of the field where we’ve looked most vulnerable, therefore making further change is most tempting.

I'm cautiously optimistic - could see a narrow 3-2 victory - with defensive frailties still leaving our sterner critics plenty to moan about
