BBC gossip stating we tried to get nisbet back?!?, I though SDG said in the EEN this week that it wasn’t an avenue we were exploring??

Can imagine we enquired once it became obvious he was available but doubt we actively pursued it. Given he was here previously we'd be daft not to ask the question. With that though we've already brought in two strikers who I imagine will most likely both be vying to be first pick. Also given his attitude I can't see him being chuffed if he's not starting or gets dropped etc. Might come back to haunt me but I'm happy with what we've got up front at the minute and think he'd cause more harm than good.

They’ve taken that from the sun. Lot of nonsense

Attempting to get Nisbet during the week makes no sense to me when we've already got Kuharevich on loan and signed Bowie, with much larger holes in our team to be addressed instead.

Had we only added one of those then Nisbet is someone I'd have wanted.

Almost certainly, but you can probably file most of what most managers say at this time of year under the same category.

Why would Nisbet come to the *****show on show at the club anyway?

He joined Millwall and wanted to join Birmingham. He's no interest in the state of his suitor.

Covered in depth on the transfer thread. Might take you a while to wade through all the mince to get there though. In summary, it may or may not be true (that Hibs were interested), probably unlikely, but in any case as you could see today, it's at the other end of the pitch that we need players. Also, some people like him and some don't.

There you go - I've saved you 300 pages and a lot of time in your life that you'd never get back. You're welcome.

Don’t need him, we’ve got Bowie.

We need a GK, another CB and a CM

He looks like Lloyd Christmas with his new hairdo. Bowie already has the monopoly on funny hairdo's at the club - Nisbet not required therefore.

I hope he starts knocking them in for fun, although obviously not any against us and, as I can't stand Aberdeen, not that any of his goals are in winning games, but I hope he gets his mojo back as he's a great player and Scotland really need an on-form Nisbet.

I hope he fails miserably because he’s joined a rival team.

I'm confident that Bowie can out score Nisbet this season, our failings are in other parts of the team.

He's an average/good player far from great.

As someone else says I hope he doesnt score loads as hes playing for a rival. Hopefully Bowie will be banging them in soon and we wont worry about what Nisbet is doing at Aberdeen.

Tbf they’ve done a thing where they’ve given each of their new signings a gift representing the city to make them feel at home. Done a photo with each signing by the looks of it.

Is it a buttery or a rowie (had that very debate this past couple of weeks).

think cholesterol in a bun. Like a squished, condensed croissant with oodles of butter/lard.

prob not a good choice for Nisbet getting back into shape.

Aye maybe for their new Norwegian boy or something.

Don’t think someone from Cambuslang needs a buttery to feel at home in Aberdeen, just needs a couple police cars to go flying past him on Aberdeen high street and he’ll be getting fond flashbacks like the food critic on Ratatouille.

Didn't have a huge impact at Millwall (5 goals in 27 games) so he's never going to be a game changer for Scotland. Might do well enough for Aberdeen mind you.

Agree with this. Didn’t follow him at all closely at Milwall but I doubt there’s an international class striker here. We’ve had far better who failed to shine with Scotland.

I rate him and he had a good goal tally for us at this level. Never thought Milwall was a good move for him. They've got English football money but they are a nothing club. If he settles and gets fit he'll score goals for Aberdeen - no doubt about it for me.

I'm glad we've moved on though. We needed a fresh approach and I think we're going in the right direction. I think most folk would support signings like Bowie over ghosts of seasons past...

I think Nisbet will relish his time at Aberdeen and score a lot of goals. Got to be honest, I like the look of Myko but if I was given the choice I would have signed Nisbet first.

I hate to agree with you, but I agree with you. We know that Nisbet can score a decent number of goals in Scotland. We just don't know if Myko will do it consistently. Would have liked to sign them both!!

I have no problem with Myko or Bowie, both of whom I rate highly and am perfectly happy with… but their success relative to Nisbet’s may come down to the supply and unless our first choice midfield changes a bit over the coming days, I reckon the quality of Nisbet’s will be infinitely superior to our own strikers’.
