Free weekend league cup games would it not be better hibs and county playing the Saturday instead of midweek

Our home game Vs Aberdeen on Saturday 2nd November is likely to be postponed assuming Aberdeen beat Spartans as they will be in the league cup semis that weekend.

That would involve the powers that be, having a modicum of common sense:greengrin

We always seem to get shafted with the County trip.

It's possible I'm completely misremembering this but it feels like we're always sent up there mid week in the middle of winter

Almost like it's deliberately done for some reason

Moving it would surely be best for both clubs players surely as we’ve only got 2 games now in September

What game isn't happening in September. I see 3 in September and 4 in October. Swapping Ross County would just reverse that

Was originally meant to be two in September (Killie moved from 31st of August to 1st September). So we’ll have that, St Johnstone and Rangers but a two week gap between each which is crap.

Would be much better if they could move the October midweek game to the free Saturday in September if they can IMO. Sure Ross County would be happy with it as well, bigger crowd in etc.

I grew up in Dingwall, so I always try to attend these games and its bloody hard Iim pretty sure that at least one of the aways every season has been either a winter midweek, or weekend at Christmas , one was postponed for covid

ironically i made the replayed Christmas postponed game that was midweek,

this season is midweek late October just before Halloween and the 25th January potentially rubbish conditions .
I can only remember a couple over the years being decent time of year on a Saturday

The County v Hibs game is before then, you’d have thought this would have been rescheduled 1st

Hibs, possibly, don’t want games being shifted. Given the “short term pain for long term gain” POV we maybe never approached them.

I see Hearts game Vs St Mirren has been brought from midweek in December to the free September weekend now. There is now no good reason why our game Vs Ross County can't be changed now. @Power is this something which can be asked about?

They’ve already moved a game to that date.

Perhaps Hibs are happy to defer the game until the squad are all fitter and had more time together on the training pitch.
