Thought he deserves a thread, been a real bright spot in the grimness of the last 2 games, wasn't scared to get at Celtic when he could, cracking wee player.

One of the few I’d give pass marks to. If he played alongside the likes of McCowan he would learn tons

Put the some of the others to shame with his willingness to take the ball. Some of the experienced players were a disgrace and hid. He was the complete opposite. Such a shame he’s coming in to such a poor, disjointed team.

I've been impressed with Rudi recently, he's one of the few bright sparks at the moment. Good touch, he's quick over the first five yards without being rapid, he has good close control and isn't afraid of taking on his man. He looks like he can be a player for us.

He has done really well. I particularly like his reaction when something doesn't come off. He works to make up for it and get the ball back and tries to be positive the next time he gets the ball. There are lots of senior players who could do with learning something from our most junior player

Baller. Play him in the middle and he'll shine.

Already (in my opinion) a better footballer than Josh Campbell so really hope we can find a place for him in our midfield. Hopefully alongside Allan Campbell and Luke McCowan.

Close to the first name of the team sheet right now for me. A rare bright spot this season so far.

Looked a lot better when played through the middle, looked more natural for him as well

Played well. One of the few who got pass marks alongside O'Hora and Miller.

He’s brave on the ball, has ability and is trust him to get in amongst McGregor in the middle and put him under genuine pressure

Well the Muppet 4 or 5 along from me seemed to have made Rudi his scapegoat already with several shouts of Molotnikov, that's fing terrible. Nowt like giving youth a chance.

My mate was the same 'that's two mistakes in a row' Jesus! What chance do players have

Deserves a place in the first team squad, looks very comfortable with the ball at his feet and has the skills to get past a man……..unlike most of our squad.

Should be in before Campbell

He’s so good. Physically very developed and technically good as well. Has a great attitude. Agreed with poster above - play him centrally in place of Campbell - excited to see what he could do running at defences with multiple spaces/pockets.

Showed courage on the ball that was lacking from his teammates and looked most likely to make something happen for us.

Well played, I look forward to seeing his impact in a more even contest.

I agree, he looks better there. Doesn’t have the turn of pace for the wider role.

Hoilet left, Molotnikov central, and Bowie right behind Myko could be very good.

Rudi will be happy with the start individually he's made to the season, we all knew he has the talent, I don't think many of us would think he would be a starter for the league games, Youan's situation has maybe helped that though as he looked to be sold and now has an injury.

Anyone know why he came off on Sunday? Looked like he'd picked up an injury but haven't seen any reports.

I think (hope) he was just knackered and had a bit of cramp or whatever.

He was one of the few who put a proper shift in.

Gray saying he was impressed with Rudi in the number 10 role and long term that's where he sees his best position.

“I thought he was positive when he went into the middle,” said Gray, familiar with the player’s development through his coaching roles under four different managers, the former Scottish Cup-winning captain adding: “Longer term, that’s probably where his best position is.

Excellent news, thought he looked better in the middle. As soon as Hoilett is fit I reckon that's where Rudi will play.

Rudi on the scoresheet for Scotland this evening.

Thanks for that, didn't realise there was a game on tonight. Scotland U19s are playing Azerbaijan in a friendly in Murcia.

It's 2-0 at half time and Rudi scored one of them. Rory Whittaker is on the bench. Good experience for the boys.

I really liked the look of Whittaker in the Watford game.

Hopefully his development is managed well over the next few years as I think we potentially have a very good one there.

As tough as his baptism of fire may have been at times last season, if he’s made of the right stuff (and there’s no reason to doubt that) then he may well channel that into a positive experience.

Thanks for that. :aok:

I think he’s looked brilliant so far this season, maybe found it a bit tougher at Rugby Park on Sunday but so did Boyle on the other side, so no shame in that.

I’m really excited to see him develop this season. He looks a top young player.

4 goals for him in 3 games whilst away with the Scotland under 19s

Seemed to have really kicked on this season

Hopefully he comes back full of confidence and continues his scoring

Hopefully we play him as a no10.

Pler.

I was fuming we didn't sign a 'plan B' for McCowan and I'm no way suggesting that Rudi is a similar type of player, he isn't, but, maybe the plan is to play him as a 10 in front of a duo from Kwon, Triantis and at a push, Newell.

Be happy with that cause I think he's good enough now.

Not that I can see. The lack of coverage of these games given fan interest and the fact that a iPhone 15pro can give good coverage is ridiculous.

Can only assume he had a knock or wasn’t feeling well and that’s why he never got a minute yesterday?

Thought we could have done with him when chasing a goal

Not so much him being on the bench but more guys like McKirdy getting on ahead of him

Even last game he was unlucky not to get a goal and an assist against st Johnstone

Again, I thought McKirdy looked quite nimble, albeit lightweight and we was out muscled at least once.

I think he could potentially be dangerous and would have no real qualms about chucking him on at some point over our next 5 games.

Can see the young lad has quality.

Hopefully kicks on again for us next season, is able to show the ability/composure in tight positions and improve his end product

Thought he should have been out on loan in January to get more games and keep developing

He’s A very good young player, his time will come, but unfortunately with such a competitive end to our season, and all our players back from injury, I think his game time will be very limited.
