Not many barge Carter Vickers off the ball.

Really like the look of him, strong and skilful too. Showed really good feet at times and a brilliant striker to hit the bar.

Spot on. I think the Hoilett signing has gone under the radar due to Bowie signing. I think he will be class too.

Bit early to say he’s the steal of the century but I liked what I saw. I’d get them fit and get him and Myko up top together.

The rest of the team isn’t suddenly going to click and look like an actual team, there are too many issues. We’d be as well getting them working together so that one of them isn’t left totally isolated.

Excellent start for Bowie today. Only on the park for half an hour, but showed some lovely touches, fitted in well, and not afraid to get stuck in. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of this laddie. Can see him becoming a real fans' favourite.

Was only on for a short space of time but in that short space of time he crashed a shot against the bar, harried their defenders, took the piss out of Taylor and had a chance to square it but went for glory on his debut.

My knowledge of him is based purely from Football Manager, but they’re usually pretty accurate. He can play up front or wide right according to them, with wide right being his light green (“natural”) position. I do get the impression he wants to be played through the middle though, we’ll see.

Wrestled possession of a ball he was 2nd favourite for from one of the leagues best defenders and then hit the bar from a tight angle. Came with a reputation as someone who chases stuff down and gives defenders a hard time and he showed it yesterday.

Probably the only bright spot in a team that were otherwise sadly totally outclassed yesterday.

Something I liked about the Celtic chance and the goal against Dundee is that in both cases he was off balance and the ball was in awkward places in relation to him, but he got the shots away. Some players don’t have that ability, they need to be better balanced and/or ball in a good position, bodes well for him hopefully taking some half chances and getting goals from them
