Who do we have that was signed for the development team that's either near the first team or still around at all?

Alan Delferriere is the only one that jumps out, not sure if Jair was brought in for that team or if he went straight into not playing for the first team.

No danger Jair was signed for the development team. He was our marquee signing.

Were Boruc and McClelland signed as first team players or were they going to be worked through the development system? (no laughing at the back)

Obviously the latter is away on loan again but Boruc was on the bench a few times recently.

Delferriere is the only one really left still here. Kyle McClelland technically is but out on loan until his contract ends. Every one else was signed as a first team player or is from the academy.

edit - McAllister as well but he was more of an academy signing than true dev squad.

Boruc was a first team signing, mostly as third choice to let Murray Johnson go on loan but obviously ended up playing through injury pretty quickly.

McAllister would be who I would say and I think he has a chance for him as he looks excellent in the dev games I have seen. Might be a bit early but the way we look at the moment it is a bit desperate times and perhaps desperate measures are required. You see the young lad in the Dundee Utd team and wonder why we don't take a chance more often. It has worked with Rudi who we really missed when he went off on Sunday. McAllister is the type of player that we need. Not shy of a tackle, good on the ball and very good at free kicks.

McClelland definitely was, but I think Boruc came in post development team project.

Jacob McIntyre is the obvious one for me, he starts full training this week after recovering from a broken ankle. I think he's a great player. McAllister has also really improved over the last season too. Plus these guys will give 100% every game.....can I say the same about Amos?

Plus I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think Boruc is the best goalkeeper at the club. The signing of Smith is a complete waste of money.

If Boruc is the best keeper at the club then we're in trouble. Early days on Bursik and hopefully turns out decent but I agree with the Smith signing, he looked ropey in the times he's played already and I refuse to believe he's so much better than Boruc that we needed to sign him.

Boruc was brutal out on loan.

From who's still at the club then I would say Reuben and Jacob have the potential, you have Landers who is still eligible for 18's football.

I would like to see Oscar make it also, would be a big season for him out on loan to asses his progress.

Would love to see the MacIntyre brothers make it. Cousins of Bob MacIntyre (I think) so they know what fame looks like while keeping grounded.

Cousins of Bob MacIntyre (I think) so they know what fame looks like while keeping grounded. They both have good attitude, Dean CLelland although small, looks a better player this season, and certainly knows were the goals are.Still too early for him.Josh Landers, is physically strong enough now, I would loan him out for a season, get him back ready to step up to the first team squad next season .
