M8 will be completely closed overnight from roughly the Kingston bridge to Ibrox.
It's only planned to open after 1pm on Sunday the 4th. So diversions could be time consuming

Does anyone know what part of the M8 will be shut?

Is it just Glasgow or is it shut from Hanilton / Motherwell/ Harthill / Bathgate/ Livi / or even all the way from Edinburgh?

I’d give them a call. I ordered mines on July 17th and hadn’t had anything through. The guy then checked the tickets ready for collection in the office and in error they hadn’t sent out my tickets for post.

He had mentioned Thursday is the cut off St Mirren have told Hibs for any reprinted ticket requests and then Kieron Power would be through on Sunday handing out any tickets that had not been collected or required reprinting from St Mirren.

Need to set the standards of the club a bit higher than that. At no time should a draw against St Mirren ever be classed as an acceptable result for Hibs.

I want to win, I think we’ll go there to try and win…but I’d accept a draw. I don’t think that would be an unacceptable result away at St Mirren at all. Away at anyone in the league actually.

Foley’s money will have to be a regular thing for years before we see any consistent difference in that, in my opinion.

Agree I don't think a point would be a bad result especially if we play well. There's a reason they finished above us last season, so they will rightly be slightly favourites.

I recently went to St Mirren v Fleetwood friendly. The boy who runs the pie and bovril website is a St Mirren fan and he gave me this about the pubs.

Hi mate. Get off at Paisley Gilmour Street station if you are getting the train.

I’d avoid the giant Wetherspoons right outside the station, it’s ****.

Instead try the Bankhouse round the corner, or Burger & Keg right across from the station.

The best pubs in town are on New Street though (IMO). The Bull Inn is a proper football pub, Gantry and Barga are both good as is the Ugly Duck on the high street.

You’re about a 15 min walk to the stadium from those, maybe 20 mins from Barga.

Really not sure what to expect today. Looks as though we’ve improved the defence from last year but they’ve not been properly tested as yet. We’re definitely worse off in the final third without Youan and Maolida vs end of last season. We’re going to be heavily reliant on Boyle and Myko, I hope he’s available for the game.

I don’t have a clue whether St Mirren are in a better position or not, haven’t taken much notice of other teams transfer dealings. Mixture of excitement and trepidation for the start of the season 😂
