The last couple of seasons there's been matches were I thought the first team has looked decent only to question what we have had on the bench that could make a impact on a game .

Yesterday even though we had a few decent players on it there was very little attacking options ( not that we needed them thankfully) and I wondered if needed who could come on and take the game by the scruff of the neck .

I didn't really see to many that could TBH .

Thought our bench looked weak and void of any game changers though maybe you disagree with that ?

Sure that will be resolved this week. But yes, there were no game changers on the bench yesterday

Not hugely worth too much discussion mid July.

It's been like this for quite a few seasons now though .

I actually think our strongest 11 is good enough to be competing at around 3rd - 5th as a starting 11. Something resembling the starting XI vs Elgin but with Youan and Amos in for Campbell and Molotnikov.

Take those 13 and add NMW and Megwa we have 15 good enough players before you consider Levitt and Rocky as a potential 16th & 17th.

We are probably 3 - 4 signing, almost all attacking players alway from having a pretty good squad. Hopefully the rumours are true that 3 are expected in this week.

Replacement for Youan if he leaves
Replacement for ALF
A winger who can cover up front
A LCB who can cover LB

It’s very notable that we haven’t made use of the inevitable 1 or 2 loans from Bournemouth yet which makes me think we will some big on one of the above mentioned players needed as the transfer budget is currently untouched.

One thing I don’t want to see is someone signed for the sake of it who then keeps the like of Molotnikov from getting a chance.

Maybe if they are all on form and fully fit. But as soon as they aren't, we are in trouble. I don't think we have anyone to carry us through games when we're not on it. Hopefully SDG can bring that out in a few of them.

And we sign better players with stronger mentalities.

Agree with most of that - but Campbell (in particular) more than justified his start yesterday and Molotnikov looked like someone who'd been there for years. Amos is another with a lot to offer.
