Wonder whats behind that as they were the key players in Newcastle take over and seemed to be the public face of new owners

Probably been made an offer they couldn’t refuse. Any horses been beheaded in Newcastle recently?

It was always the plan I think.
I think having her being the name and face of the bid was more cosmetic in that it would create less opposition than having a whole load of Sheikhs rock up.

Just speculating but Staveley has Huntington's Disease and onset of symptoms is common between 30 and 50. She's 51.

I get that from PR stand, but they seemed genuinely engaged in it all personally.

Hadn't heard anything about that, but that certainly could explain an apparent unexpected change like this

I think she was but they were trying to influence the PL rather than the Newcastle fans.

Whole thing must be a massive disappointment for Newcastle fans. Associated with murderous ****bags but without the success.[emoji2369]

Even if Newcastle fans didn't want the Saudis like Ashley you can't get rid . Football is so screwed. It's a money game and ultimately supporters have zero voice or influence

Except all those times when supporters have had a massive influence, like the super league.
