Not sure when there due out but wouldn’t it be a brilliant start to the Scottish season to start with the Derby’s . Would be brilliant way to get the season off to a flyer. It will never happen but would certainly be good
Hibs v Hearts
Celtic V Rangers
Dundee v Dundee United
StMirren v Motherwell
Killie v StJohnstone
Ross County v Aberdeen

As a profile raiser for the league, it would be a great idea.
There is one of those that would never, ever happen. The fixture arranging randomiser randomly never comes up with the Cheeks for Day 1. Obviously it's just down to chance and not that the computer doesn't want to set up a chance for one of them to gain immediate momentum off the other, or have their wee feels hurt by the other unfurling a flag.

His first new season after taking over Ron Gordon was rightly annoyed that we played Hearts at home first game. His beef was that the first game looks after itself in attracting a crowd whilst the derby game is always a crowd pulled and we missed out as a result.

He made a valid point there.
I’m always excited for a new season and can’t wait to get back. I suspect many fans are in a similar boat where manipulation of the fixtures to produce a high profile opener isn’t really required to entice you along for the first league game of new season.
I’m predicting Motherwell away.
TV audience may be different, but we rarely see anything that isn’t the Old Firm away to someone. You’ll probably see Kilmarnock v Rangers or similar as the “glamour” TV game.
