The strips been unveiled and we appointed a manager two weeks ago.
Is today the day we will get the interview from sir David and/ or will there be a player paraded with the scarf above his head? Is today the day?
Anything?

Patience. We will have the pick of the rest when all our rivals have made their signings.

Looking forward to our first signing being a 19 year old goalkeeper from the Barbados 2nd division.

I do find it odd we haven’t had an interview with the new manager yet. They’ve been back a few days and he has met with fans at the strip launch and the Ron Gordon football event.
Would also be decent to hear from anyone at the Black Knights. Really nothing since the AGM.

I think it's a good that DG hasn't given an interview. He'll have nothing to say, yet, apart from the usual platitudes and clichés.
"It's a great honour" - yeah we know that.
"We're looking to bring in players who will improve us". - obviously.
"I want us to play entertaining, attacking football". - Noted, to be used against you later, if required.
He'll say something when he's got something meaningful to say.

I think we’ll wait until we’re in Holland before a sit down interview with Gray.
He’s been here for 10 years and we heard from him in interviews as interim so he probably couldn’t say much more than he’s previously said
In Holland he’ll hopefully be able to give an update about pre season to day, signings and plans going forward

The way things are going it will be a long wait.

I wanted to hear what he has to say about the squad. Not throwing individual players under the bus, but a bit of detail on what the squad has lacked in the last few seasons and managers and how he will look to address it. As it is, the silence doesn’t build any confidence or excitement. It also doesn’t dispel the worry that Gray has the same blind spots as the previous managers and that he thinks the likes of Rocky, Newell, Campbell etc are the answer after all and he’ll succeed with them where all the others have failed.

No end of the week They will want to parade a Trio of Signings ,to make a statement
I like the fact we are quietly going about our business ,with very few leaks about potential signings
a few players might not even finish there. Current contracts till end of June

Think it would suit Kensell & Ian Gordon just fine if there is no big official unveiling of Gray.
As time goes on it's likely to be just a low key press conference with just Gray and possibly MacKay.
Not sure if Kensell & Ian Gordon will be up for yet another humiliating new manager thing.

It’s a start. All hail the pen.
You better get out of the woods today as
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.
A bit early, it's not the 12th July, but the thread title had me singing the teddy bear song in my head.
Are the media team still on holiday ? It just seems all a bit flat ? Little to no connection with the fans
Was a real opportunity to build a feel good factor with some interviews/videos etc but we have had nothing

I think it’s a bit of we want to go about our business quietly this year. Also think there’s a bit of who is/isn’t there with players they’ve brought in (mention of Bevan being there) and guys potentially leaving (Youan not there).
iirc we don’t normally get much media the first week or so but it’s when we go abroad that we get more content

It's the "Hibs way".
The interview with a new manager usually serves as a "get to know" opportunity.
However we have a 'known' Hibs man whose focus is coaching the squad. That other 'management' stuff can and probably will be handled by Malky.
As an ex-player who's been at our club for a decade, I think we will find that Davie won't want to engage in aimless interviews. Our mic guy seems pleasant enough but when he starts every sentence with the word "obviously" you just know that the question incoming won't reveal anything we haven't heard before.
I've heard enough lame interviews with Monty, Lee, Shaun and Hecky to last me a lifetime.

It would be good to know how he’s feeling. If he had been manager successful or otherwise and been here for years I’d have expected to hear from him on return for the new season. The fact hes just in the role it should be a must. IMO it’s just poor. Ever poorer when we’ve signed the grand total of one player ( on loan at that) with the season opener just over two weeks away. We are doing absolutely nothing to either dampen fan unrest or indeed anything to give us a boost. No wonder season ticket sales don’t look good.

obviously he doesn’t list back to his recordings - tiresome over use. If somethings obvious there’s nothing to say!
