I thought I would be in the East Stand picture and able to recognise myself but was too far back so I am just a blurred image😡

The CS gas game I was in one of the pictures in the newspapers bent over coughing on the pitch.

I'm the Policeman under the season Ticket Holders entrance.. I was wearing Rangers "Ready" motto Y-fronts (towelling) and was feeling brassed off, as I was late for a Masonic meeting where I was due to wear the pink wellies and welcome a new member (who had just qualified as a Referee) with a spatula, a loofah and 12lbs of goosefat.

I'm in both pics of the fans. In the middle of the one outside ER with my hands up above my head clapping. At the rally, I'm in line with the white pillar, to the right.

Couldn’t spot the 19ish year old me although. I was there in that vicinity bit further back - around that be and t67 in seat terms. And there on the dark days of the announcement along with other folks in shock from the DSS on commercial st who headed off on flexi leave once the news broke.
year my father died. It caught me by surprise - coming to the terrace (despite always being a Hibee) at a relative late 17 - it did feel like a deep sense of grave danger. I knew then just how deep the club meant to me.

Yep.
The Wallet Mercer-nary banner is mine. Still got it somewhere.
David Hardie did a feature in the Evening News on the 20th anniversary (or was it the 25th anniversary? I’m getting old) of the successful resistance, did an interview with me (and others) and took a photo of me and my laddies holding the banner all those years later.

I’m just behind the last ‘R’ in Mercer-naRY.

There are other photos of that day which also had my other banner beside that one, which was…Hibbies say, don’t pay. Smash the poll tax!

I worked in Brunswick Street at the time.

When I first heard of this at 10:00 that morning I went straight down to the stadium, but there were only two or three people about. From the guys that were there we deduced it was a load of sh*te so I went back to work. I heard later it was legit so I went down later, can't see myself in the photo.

Never forgave Duff & Gray for what they done which that parasite Mercer jumped on. Thank heavens for Tom Farmer.

Was sweet when we won the League Cup a year or so later.

Still got the banner Gary?

I think so, somewhere.
Though I may have given it to David Hardie for some sort of Hibs museum? I honestly can’t remember if I did or not. I did speak with David at the time about the possibility of doing so but I suspect I still have it in a box/bag somewhere (I moved house since that recent photo was taken).

I am in the one at Easter Road. Straight up from the W in the banner about 2/3 of the way back. Only reason I noticed as it looks exactly like my son now! I was 17 at the time.
